That Lincoln actually wasn't worried about freeing the slaves and that his only focus was actually the union. In school when you here about Lincoln the first thing they say is he freed the slaves and just reading this information was a shocker, and I believe they didn't teach us this because Lincoln had this persona that he was helpful and he could do no wrong.
