Compare the current MMS instructional agreements with the district's non-negotiable instructional agreements for each department. What are your thoughts on how we can establish clarity of instructional expectations?

Our MMS instructional agreements need to be adjusted or clarified for us to meet the district standards. Our county agreements are DBQ, EQ, History Labs, Inquiry Design Model and SWIRL. The only one that matches SS is SWIRL. The other agreements are a little too vague.

Instead of having a school set, could be identify instructional agreements by departments (use district)? You would have more consistency in instruction. If we have a different school-level identify for departments how that would look within their instruction.

I think the MMS instructional agreements or the departments non-negotiable instructional agreements need to be adjusted and updated. They need to be more aligned with each other where the students and staff can have more clarity on what the instructional expectations are.

The non-negotiables should be looked at in comparison. One key aspect that is on the district non-negotiables is Reading and Writing Workshops. As we have started doing conferencing with writing, it has really been a huge benefit for the students to get that feedback to be better. It may not work for all content departments, but for ELA is very important.
