The various groups travelled up the river systems in the area to their winter hunting grounds. The Kazan River, in particular, was also very important as a travel route and for hunting caribou.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the 50's to mid 50's Inuit started to go through starvation and the caribou were scarce. Inuit were then moved into Baker Lake. There are eleven groups that moved into Baker Lake.
