Its words include doublethink (belief in contradictory ideas simultaneously), which is reflected in the Party’s slogans: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”

SENSORY LANGUAGE: in the book Orwell describes everything like it is cold, dark, dusty and old. Not very positive adjectives. Ex: the world looked cold.
Orwell causes an affect for the readers, how the sorroundings looks like and feels like.  
It makes the readers more ingaged to the story, and it makes it easier for the readers to visualise it. It causes pecimism becuse it does not look good or feels good there. 

MODIFICATION: as i said Orwell uses alot of negative and dark adjectives. This helps to establish the atmosphere as something "dark" like there are mores dark adjectives than positive adjectives. The soroundings are very grim, and it makes the readers feel "cold" if that makes sense. The book is not very positive so it makes you more cold than warm by reading it, and visualising it.

SEMANTIC FIELDS: we find alot of semantic fields. Ex: greyness: metal, black, dimmed and no colour.

Totalitarianism: a form of government and a political system that prohibits all opposition parties, outlaws individual and group opposition to the state and its claims, and exercises an extremely high if not complete degree of control and regulation over public and private life.

Communism: In a Communist system, individual people do not own land, factories, or machinery. Instead, the government or the whole community owns these things.

Democratic socialsim: Democratic socialism is defined as having a socialist economy in which the means of production are socially and collectively owned or controlled alongside a liberal democratic political system of government. Norway has somewhat of a democraticial society.

Dystopia: The opposite of utopia. An imaginged terrible future.

Censorship: Censorship is the suppression of speech, public communication, or other information.
