The peasants hated the idea and deiced to burn their crops and burn their animals instead of handing them over. In 1931 Stalin tried again but there was the same resistance. They were sent to they gulag or they were executed. He need surplus of food to sell overseas to bring money into the country, he also wanted an excuse to destroyed the kulaks, who believed in private ownership not communism.
