Billy Elliot is a movie about a boy, who along his journey finds his true passion; Ballet. Although ballet is the only thing he loves doing, a lot of things get in his way that almost stops his great journey before it’s even started. Billy’s father is a former boxer as well as his grandfather. In fact, the entire Elliot family is all about boxing, except form Billy. Because of that, Billy’s father doesn’t support his ballet, only until he finds out how talented his son truly is. His father now opens up, starts supporting Billy and even lets him audition for The Royal Ballet School, which he ends up getting accepted into. 

Billy is a highly ambitious and passionate ballet dancer who is very self-disciplined and hard working. Billy is a really straightforward person, and sometimes that can lead to Billy being really aggressive. For example, when he yells at his teacher. - Billy can sometimes be a bit moody and emotional, however he is usually very energetic when performing ballet. 

He’s ambitious and determined, which bring him to the Royal Ballet School of London and even then, he’s persistent and hard-working and ends up as the leading dancer.
In the end, Billy Elliot shows how important it is, always to be honest to yourself and your dreams.

The story is about Billy Elliot who is also the main character, the film is set in England in the 1980’s. 

Billy Elliot is an 11-year-old boy who is happy and positive. He lives with his dad, old brother, and his nan, he goes to the gym and tries to be a good boxer, the dad and old brother are on strike. He used to go to boxing and get punched every time, one day he saw the ballet team doing ballet and he joined to them. Now he is in love with ballet. One day the dad saw him dancing ballet and gets angry, and the dad takes him home to talk about what happened and Billy must stay at home and take care of his nan. Now it’s Christmas Billy and his gay friend goes to the gym to dance, suddenly his dad sees him dancing, at this moment Billy decides to face his father and dance in front of him. 

Now his father wants him to be a ballet dancer, they get some money and they take the bus to London, finally Billy gets into this School and everyone is happy. 

Billy Elliot is both powerful and faithful, we can see he is powerful when he chose to be ballet dancer in the wrong time, and we can see he is  faithful when he chose to fight for his dream no matter what’s happening, he is also gentle, kind, nice, and loyal person, and we can see all that, cause he has a gay friend but he is still his friend, no matter if his friend is gay or not, friendship is the most important, and we can see that he’s nervous when he travels to London to do the audition. 

It could be sad but to be successful you have to break out, even though it could be hard to move away from your family, it can be also interesting to see and do new things, but your family can feel left behind, last but not least you can meet new people, unfortunately you can lose the old people you have met. 

I think that it could be hard to move but sometimes you have to take your chance because your dream is the most important thing in the world, and if you family feel sad you can talk to them and you can also send some letters to them, so everything will be okay.

They save up for the long trip to the audition and then go home to wait for the letter to come. Once it came the whole family were very excited and nervous, but it turns out that he was going to get his dreams fulfilled. He got in.

When Billy dances he becomes a totally new person and you can just see how much energy the boy has and how ballet affects him. We see how optimistic Billy gets when he starts getting his mind into something. His best friend dances along with Billy sometimes and Billy teaches him ballet. He protects him, and Billy is very loyal and honest to him. 

 

 

He should follow his dreams and think about himself and his own future, although he left his family when they were fighting to get food on the table.

Tony stops his father and they get their money elsewhere. Billy goes to the audition and gets accepted. In the end, we see him older and as lead dancer in a show. 

 

There are many opinions on breaking out of your childhood surroundings, one of them is, it’s a good idea to make something out of yourself, although it can be hard to leave your family and everything and everyone you’ve known. Lots of people want to stand up for themselves and a whole lot of them want to break their circle, however you can end up being alone and not be with the people that were there for you since day one and end up missing them. It can be nice to leave a bad environment and end in a place that has good opportunity for having a good life although you’re leaving the place that made you, who you are. In my opinion you should make something out of yourself and when you get life together and get settled, you should bring your family to you, so you can be with the people who loves you unconditionally.

The film Billy Elliot starts with the boy Billy going to boxing and a day when his boxing training is done, he needs to give the keys for the boxing hall, to the ballet teacher. Billy joins the ballet training and realizes that ballet is something he likes to do. 

Billy’s dad is against that Billy wants to dance ballet and therefore Billy gets banned, but he loves the ballet too much to let it go, so he gets help from the ballet teacher so he can get into the Royal ballet school. Billy’s dad sees Billy dance in the gymnastic hall and wants to give Billy a chance to do what he likes to, so he goes with Billy to the audition at the Royal ballet school. At the end of the film, we see that Billy gets into the ballet school and his dad and brother starts working in the mines again. 

 

Characterization: 

Billy is brave because even though that his dad says he can’t dance ballet he doesn’t give up his dreams. He is also aggressive which we can see in the scene where he gets mad at the ballet teacher and he says some things he actually doesn’t mean. In this scene, we can also see that Billy is sensitive because he feels bad about the things he said to ballet teacher. 

Billy Elliot is a movie about a young boy, Billy, who finds a passion in dancing. Meanwhile Billy explores his newly found talent, his dad expects him to be boxing at the local gymnasium. And then, when the dad finds out, he is not pleased with the thought of his son dancing ballet.
