These phases are created when the moon rotates around the earth, and whenever a certain side is showing to earth, those sides can show more of the moon or less. The phases of the moon are new moon, waxing crescent, 1st quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, 3rd quarter moon, waning crescent, and repeated over again. Overall, I've learned how, why, and what, the phases of the moon are and why they do it.
