We got up early this morning, and my father drove us to Taoyuan International Airport.
The airport is very large, divided into many areas, and there are many, many duty-free shops and various procedures before boarding the plane.
Because it is the Chinese New Year period, there are more people than I imagined, especially people from various countries (Japan, the United States, Australia, etc...)
It really opened my eyes!!!
Mom said that it will be colder, because my grandma's house is in North Vietnam, and the temperature is about the same as Taiwan, and it will be like summer in South Vietnam.

Finally arrived at Hanoi airport this morning! We took over an hour in the car to get to grandma's house.
Along the way, I saw many houses that were different from those in Taiwan. Those houses have a foreign feel. Although they are not very big, they are all beautifully built. There is a large field of my own next to my grandmother’s house. Some houses There is also a small pond next to it!
I think maybe the appearance of the house has something to do with the history of Vietnam. Vietnam was ruled by France a long time ago, and its practice, architecture, culture, etc. were all influenced by France, so the buildings are as gorgeous as those built to commemorate the French rule.

Today I want to introduce Vietnamese food - spring rolls.
One of the representatives of Vietnamese specialties is spring rolls. Spring rolls were introduced from mainland China in the early days, but during the French rule, the taste and method were affected, so the current spring rolls are equal to the community of China, Vietnam, and France.
When the French ruled Vietnam, the royal family ate the spring rolls and thought they were very delicious, so they gave it a luxurious name "Pâté Impérial" (palace food), so spring rolls were only enjoyed by the royal family at that time.
But now that things are changing, spring rolls can be seen in high-end restaurants or roadside stalls in Vietnam, and they have become a cheap and delicious food.

In Vietnam, almost every family has their own piece of land, where they grow all kinds of vegetables and fruits, and some even raise chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, cattle, etc. Compared with Taiwan, they are still Relatively rural.
However, the air quality in the countryside is very good, and it is also very humane. Everyone is very enthusiastic, which is something that I can't feel in Taiwan.

Today I would like to introduce the "Bánh cuốn" (越南粉卷) that I had for breakfast.
Vietnamese rice rolls, also known as Vietnamese burritos, is a unique food in North Vietnam. It is pork or other ingredients wrapped in rice rolls, and served with prickly pork, sprouts and fish sauce.

The biscuit I want to introduce today is the most delicious snack I have ever eaten after being "warmly welcomed" by everyone in Vietnam.
Because although the New Year is over, Vietnam still has the atmosphere of the New Year, and every household still prepares New Year cakes to entertain guests. One of my favorite cookies is this one.
It is made by the "TIPO" company. When you unpack it, it looks like toast, which is very realistic. Vanilla-flavored chocolate front is sweet and delicious. With one bite, the crunchy biscuits melt in your mouth. People will be addicted to it!
I will take home a few packets of these cookies. If you are going to Vietnam, I strongly recommend this snack~

Today, on 1/29, my mother, grandmother and I went to the urban area of Beining to find my aunt.
Bac Ninh Province is next to Bac Giang Province, and Bac Ninh City is the economic and cultural center of Bac Ninh Province, and it is a very important city in Vietnam. It has a long history and a small area. It is the smallest administrative area in Vietnam, but it is the most densely populated area.
Bac Ninh Province was called "Dragon Bien" in ancient times, and it was changed to Bac Ninh Province in 1831 (the 12th year of Ming Dynasty Nguyen Dynasty).
Although Bac Ninh Province is the smallest province in Vietnam, it has a full area of 83 square kilometers. Several of my aunts live there.

Today I want to introduce duck eggs.
Duck eggs originated in the Philippines, but now they are found in mainland China and Southeast Asia. In fact, they were also eaten in Taiwan in the early days!!!
Duck eggs are made from duck eggs that have been fertilized and hatched for 15-20 days. After the eggs are boiled, the shells are cracked, sprinkled with pepper and salt, and ready to eat!

Today I went to the Ho Chi Minh Museum (Bảo tàng Hồ Chí Minh) in Hanoi, Vietnam with my family.
Completed in 1990, it is a fairly modern museum with a rich collection of cultural relics, as well as the history of Vietnam and the life of Ho Chi Minh.
Before entering, you have to wait in a long line to get inside. The soldier brother in white military uniform will lead everyone to Ho Chi Minh's final resting place. Ho Chi Minh's face after death looks serene and calm.
There are a lot of things that Ho Chi Minh passed through and used in the museum, and even the cars he drove, so cool~
My mother said: "Ho Chi Minh is a great man. He learned many languages to help Vietnam and actively asked for help; in order not to affect his work, he never married and had children; even if he was wrongly imprisoned, he did not give up helping Vietnam because With him, Vietnam can now be peaceful and independent, and he has also become the father of Vietnam, and even the hero in the hearts of every Vietnamese!"

Yesterday, my family and I visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum, but I still don't know much about Ho Chi Minh (the main reason is that it's only in Vietnamese), so today I'm going to find out about Ho Chi Minh's life and introduce him.
Ho Chi Minh's real name is Ruan Bicheng, and his childhood name is Ruan Shenggong (Ruan Shengkun). Others include: Ruan Aiguo, Qiu Weng, Ping Shan, Li Rui, Wang Shaner, Wang Daren, Wang Guangsheng, Li Annan, Hu Guang, Song Wenchu, PC The pseudonym of Lin et al., in fact, "Ho Chi Minh" is also his pseudonym! (There are so many names~).
Ho Chi Minh spent his whole life helping Vietnam, and learned multiple languages to help others. He also went to other countries to learn various knowledge and experience, but was arrested by the Chinese Kuomintang in 1942, imprisoned for 13 months, and wrote more than 100 poems in prison , completed the masterpiece "Prison Diary". Later, he used many aliases to revolutionize, established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, helped unify North and South Vietnam, and finally died of a heart attack in 1969.

Today I want to introduce the Vietnamese couple cake.

Today I want to introduce Vietnamese rice dumplings.
The difference between Vietnamese rice dumplings and Taiwan is that they are square in appearance, and they are wrapped during Chinese New Year, and the weight is 5 times that of Taiwan!
Vietnamese rice dumplings are called ''Banh Chung''. Traditional Vietnamese rice dumplings are filled with glutinous rice, mung beans, and pork, wrapped in Hiiragi leaves, and boiled in water for a long time.
There is a story behind Yeh, a traditional Vietnamese rice dumpling: Once upon a time, in order to find the best candidate to inherit the throne, King Hung summoned all the princes one day and asked them to find New Year offerings, and the best one would get the throne. The poorest 18th prince "Lang Liao" made zongzi with glutinous rice, mung beans, pork and other agricultural products, which unexpectedly won the favor of Xiong Wang.

This sweet drink shop is located in a small corner of the market. The drinks they sell are very special. Today I am going to introduce Gac Sticky Rice from Vietnam.
Gac glutinous rice is a special food in Vietnam, made of gac, indica glutinous rice and sugar.
However, gac fruit is actually regarded as a "fruit from heaven" in Vietnam. Not only is the flesh edible, but it can also be used as a material for Chinese medicine. It also has high nutritional value and is helpful for eye care!
Gac sticky rice is a celebration in Vietnam, and it is used to celebrate weddings and other occasions. Because Vietnam and Taiwan believe that white is an unlucky color, gac is used to dye white rice red.

I'm finally wrapping up my two week long trip to Vietnam today!
But I was still a little bit reluctant, and my grandparents seemed to feel the same way, until I was about to fly back to Taiwan, my grandma was still crying and hugging me~
This time I took the plane at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, so I will introduce this airport today.
This airport is the largest airport in North Vietnam and the second largest airport after Tan Son Nhat Airport. It is very busy both on weekdays and holidays.
Noi Bai International Airport is actually not very big. It is smaller than the second terminal of Taoyuan Airport, but it is very crowded. There are so many people that you have to queue for a full ten minutes even to board the plane. The whole body needs a special person to search the body with an instrument to pass. Such a foolproof inspection is an eye-opener for me!
And Noi Bai Airport is super~~~clean, and the toilets can be used with peace of mind!

What I want to introduce this time is "playing mahjong".
Almost every household in Taiwan plays mahjong, especially during Chinese New Year. Sometimes the whole family plays together, and sometimes even the neighbors come to join in the fun!
This is a great way to boost your relationship and pass the time.
