I am a visual learner! Any way an instructor can help me to visualize content with diagrams, pictures, or even videos, I am all in. Interactive technology would be one way that I learn best, which can be through interactive games, tutorial videos, or online flash cards. With these different technological resources, I am able to visually connect with the material, process the information, and adapt the knowledge to my classwork or personal life.

Hi Alicia,
I am a kinesthetic learner. I learn by doing. I use to think I was a visual learner, but as I have aged I need to create and manipulate things for it to sink in. I have found that tutorial videos really help me learn. I also love interactive games. The more I can am involved in creating something, the better I learn. Also, this may sound weird, but if I write the instructions down step-by-step I do better.

I learn best in two different ways: kinesthetically and by teaching. An unnecessary amount of frustration comes over me when I have to sit and listen to someone tell me how to do something for an extended period of time (i.e. work meetings, long emails, etc.) because I know I won't retain any of it. I have to work hands-on by either completing the new skill myself or teaching it to someone else.

I am definitely a kinesthetic learner, I have to do work and take notes on everything. I need everything printed out in front of me so that I can touch it and take notes all over it. The best kind of technology for me to learn is online flash cards for sure. Quizlet is literally my best friend when it comes oto learning information I am struggling with.

I am a tactile learner. That is kind of key since I am an Art Ed major. I watch a lot of videos on how I am trying to create something. Art is a tactile and visual subject. Reading descriptions do not help me. Step by step instructions are sometimes helpful for simple tasks. Visually seeing what I want to learn helps me physically be able to do it.

I have to see something done and then have to do it myself before I can really learn it. Technology-wise, Khan Academy is the greatest learning tool that I utilized in school. It has videos so you can see the process and practice so that you can apply it.

I’m a more visual learner. For me, it has to be simple and fairly easy to navigate. I like technology tools that are more interactive and engaging so that they will keep my attention and keep me interested.

I like to make a PowerPoint if I can for the lesson. It is the easiest way for me to be very involved in the lesson. I also like to learn off of powerpoints too. I can have the powerpoints, but write down notes out to the side.
