With this piece created by Banksy it is a genuine and real piece of society consistently needing approval. This image is targeting a specific social media app which is one of if not the latest social app : Instagram. People are constantly checking their phones, iPads and computers to check if they have had a like, comment or follow. The boy crying is showing that he has had none of these on Instagram and in his mind therefor is not popular, likable or even worth a comment. This is due to technology developing too fast that children don't meet up and play like they use to but rather judge each other and starting to feel social awkward at a young age due to lack of physical and face to face communication.
