An artist that doesn't try to hard but puts forth the right amount of effort into their work. I agree with the arguments ratliff makes when he's talking about this musical element. The reason I agree is because he describes this element that it “involves self-confidence so great that it borders on cynicism” therefore leading an artist to have the audience listening for your commentary in the song and not just being a "musician", its about conveying your message and showing the a sort of swagger you have in tune with the music and yourself and not trying too hard to over complicate things and put forth a ton of effort. The reason I chose this piece is the true passion and charisma and attitude you hear when Hendrix plays his guitar. He possesses the sort of attitude ratliff was talking about “sprezzatura” he defined it as the artist acknowledging he knows what the audience wants and might give it to them but might not. The reason I chose this song is that everytime kiss performs or sings they deliver such a message that displays their self confidence and style that they're so good and they know it and everyone is in sync and in tune and every song that they sing turns into sort of a story or as ratliff describes it “to turn your song into commentary.” and captivating the audience into the sort of dominant style.
