We have very bright students who are willing to analyse more and this Model coud be a solution to worjk in groups of the peers with similar interests. We already have the space as I watched in the video for this.
So this module would be beneficial.

To deepen some programmatic contents, I´m using this blended learning scenario with my students (11^th grade) and it has been fantastic.

They use to work in small groups of 5/6 students and because they feel more comfortable with his pairs, they help each other a lot. Then the remaining doubts, are clarified with personalized interventions.

The feedback that I received from them is very good, and they even ask to work more in this scenario.
We can observe them grwoing in autonomy and they face the learning process with more maturity.

Flex model can be adapted to a class with multiple skill levels, by providing learning resources and homework structured in 2 or 3 levels, that students can choose; when at school, group activities can be based on the students' homework, to complete, discuss or check what they have done at home.
Of course there will always be students who do nothing at home, and they will be grouped in the basic level, when others may develop more advanced activities.
Often the advanced level students may also prepare some learning contents and resources for the others.

Personalising the schedule of studies according to the needs of students is great as it allows room for self-paced learning and autonomy. Small group assistance and dicussions as well as individualzed tutoring are also very helpful, especially to the weaker students, who need more guidance and more time to consodilate the teaching material. It is also great for peer collaboration.
This is all very encouraging, builds trust between a teacher and their students, with the latter feeling more confident in their learning as they know they will get all the support they need to overcome any difficulties they might encounter.

The implementation of the Flex Model requires really good planning and good knowledge of one's students' potential, so one should probably try it with students that they know and have taught in previous years, not with new groups.
One other challenge is that individual or even small group discussions with the teacher during classroom time are not easily facilitated with the large groups that we normally have to do with (each class consisting of approximately 25 students). It would be difficult to organise both in terms of space and time.

I understand that this model, with the flexibility it provides, is more suitable for older students, either at university or in the last classes of school. Once we overcome the technological challenges, our own records are a faster solution. In a "flipped" class, students go through the new lesson at home. The sort of student who will most benefit from the flex model of blended learning is the one who struggles the most with traditional teaching methods.
