Who are you in Social Media?
I think I am a mix of “The Social Inspirer” and “The Social Ranter.” Because when I am using social media, I often use it to browse the things that I am interested in. And I share some post that can inspire some of the people around me. I am also a social ranter, I know that this is not a good, but this is how I release my emotions. But I only rant on my twitter account where only limited people can see my post.

How do you portray yourself online?
I portray myself online with a very limited information about myself. I sometimes post some of my pictures but sometimes I just hide it on my gallery.

Who are you in Social Media?

Probably the one who actively share posts because I'm the type of person who enjoys sharing posts especially if it relates to me. I want everyone to know what I am being fond of during my leisure time or what exactly I am in person especially now that we are immersed in virtual world where we cannot say how can we really know a person despite of not meeting them personally. I know and I feel that I'm a little bit revealing for others, but I consider social media as an open space where I can freely express myself because as an introvert person it's hard to convey yourself to others personally that's why I am more expressive in social media through sharing or posting.

How do you portray yourself online?

I portray myself online as loud and expressive because I can't resist not to share a post even if I'm busy working on my task. I will immediately share a post if I found it funny, informative or inspiring because I want everyone to know that despite of the circumstances, we have in life there would be such things online that will brighten up your mood or that will enlighten your mind to keep on believing or to fight.

I'm more likely discreetly skimming through my timeline. You will rarely see anything personal from my account as I prefer to share others' posts, photos, and tweets. This is my way of showing you that I am still out there but either I have a boring life, or I just don’t care for the entire internet to know what am I up to.

How do you portray yourself online?
I present myself online as a private person who does not reveal personal information.

Who are you in Social Media?
If I were to describe myself in the digital world, I would probably say that I am more of the quiet and observer type. I rarely post things online. I also seldom react and comment to other people's post. Even liking vidoes on Tiktok, I tend to only do it on those that really piqued my interest. Despite of this, I really like reading discussions on certain topics I have interest in. Though I may look cold at first, I assure you that if you approach me, either online or offline, I am a good person to talk to.

How do you portray yourself online?
To be honest, you won't find many details about me online. Like what I have said, I rarely post my thoughts, ideas, and happenings in my life online. Because of this, I can say that I present my self online responsibly. I don't share unnecessary things. You will only see my photos through the post of my family or friends. I do have a twitter account, but as I said, I only use it too read discussions.

Social media has a significant impact on my personality and my existence.

Who are you in social media?

Social media has evolved immensely as time passes by, the reason why the way I behave myself online has evolved too with it. Since I’ve learned the possible consequences of using this powerful tool irresponsibly, seeing its evident effects to some of its users, I’ve taught myself to be more conscious and mindful of what I’d be posting. I share memes, funny posts, and jokes to spread positivity. Furthermore, I also share things that I find deeply interesting such as sports, animals, and books. When it comes to serious topics, I always make sure to only share accurate information to prevent misleading anyone. When it comes to posting my opinion, I first read it over and over again so I wouldn’t offend those users who might reach it. Thus, I am, and will continue to be careful not just because I do not want to negatively affect people, but also because I do not want to suffer undesirable consequences, seeing how judgmental this society could be.

How do you portray yourself online?

In describing how I portray myself online, a sentence, I think, would be enough. It is similar to how I would like other people to present themselves too, just doing whatever they want and comfortable with without causing trouble to anyone.

WHO ARE YOU IN SOCIAL MEDIA?

Who am I on social media? Well, I don't really know either, but the only person who can tell is me, right? But how would I know? It made me wonder who I really am on social media if only the netizens can tell because they are the ones who can see.

As I think deeply, the personality I have in social media is different in real life, but I am not saying I am a fake, but rather a person who finds it difficult to introduce his true self in social media. I am that type of person who barely expresses her personality online because of the fear of being judged by so many. But to tell you honestly, I just realized how good it feels to show the real you and be an inspiration to other people, even if it's not on social media, since we cannot help it because of the generation we have right now. And to answer the question, "Who am I in social media?" well, I can be whatever I want as long as I have no one to step on; I will keep on going.

HOW DO YOU PORTRAY YOURSELF ONLINE?

I'd like to keep a low profile on social media. I just want to observe the real world online, whatever is happening. I want to be both unknown and understood. But I know that's impossible because, as we all know nowadays, other people can think whatever they want about you, and you can't manipulate that. So as I was saying, I just portray the true me, which only I can best understand. No one knows me more than I do.

Who are you in Social Media?

Every time I encounter this question, two things always come into my mind: first, not everything on social media is true; and last, oversharing corrupts privacy. People who follow most of my social media accounts have their interpretation of who I am to them. Oversharing on social media is dangerous because people have their opinions unasked. When I realized that, I put most of my accounts in private; and I became too picky about who I befriended on my Social Media accounts.

I can say that my social media profile is like a salad bowl. Like a salad bowl, you will see and know a lot from it, but you can only get a taste or information from the portion shared. My accounts mostly revolve around the following: sharing memes that I find funny and can relate to, posts from my organization, and Korean idols and dramas that I enjoy watching. I rarely post what is really happening in my life, and if I do post, it is only for a short period.

I keep my image on my social media account as a bubbly person, for that is what people can see and believe who I am. With my posts, I want my friends to interact with them, so I tend to make them relatable.

How do you portray yourself in Social Media?

I should start this with a story for it to be more realistic. It was a typical day in our chat room with my PUPian friends in Messenger when the first impressions topic was brought up. It is my first time hearing a lot of new first impressions of me because the time when they first interacted with me was on my Facebook account. They knew my online personality first before they knew who I was. Last September 2022, when PUP released our blocks, two of my friends stalked my Facebook profile. One of them said I gave innocent vibes, while the other thought I was a model and might have a hard time befriending me. Well, not all first impressions are true, and they changed their opinions of me when we became friends.

I portrayed myself in my social media differently compared to who I am in real life. In social media, I can do lots of things in a short period without exerting much effort, which is dangerous. As an extroverted introvert, I interacted with most people in my timeline by sharing what I liked through memes or quotes. The things I do on social media that most people define who I am are sharing totally funny words and video memes which are nonsense most of the time, sharing posts of my academic organizations, and posting Korean idols and drama moments that only 5 percent of my timeline could understand. Things may be different in social media, but my friends said that the way how I converse with people in our group chats or social media overall is how I really talk.

Yes, I browse facebook, instagram, or twitter from time to time to at least be updated about what is happening around me but that's just it. I rarely share posts and interact with others because just out of nowhere, my social battery has become low and it takes a LOT of time to recharge it so I just became an observer.

How do you portray yourself online?

I portray myself online as a very private person who do not like to share something about herself to many people. It is because I rarely express myself online except on my dump accounts who has no followers.

Who are you in social media?

In social media, the first thing I consider is that "I am a Christian Even Online". What matters to me is that whatever I post, share or I react is with the accordance of God's words and commands. I used to be inspired by sharing the words of God I am putting into practice as I am living in this challenging world and hopefully can also inspire others who see it. Sometimes I am funny, serious and placid in using social media. And one of the important thing is that I use social media for educational purposes and connect to other people to make friends.

How do you portray yourself online

I portray my real self online. I portray how I behave and how I characterize my self in different situations online. I know what is right and what is the best thing for me and my friends in real life and even online. I'm also fond on trends like using filters in my selfies, sharing funny videos and memes and many more, but always minding of what is right before any clicks.
