Antigone starts off with her two brother in a civil war. they end up killing each other. After this, Creon orders for only one of the brothers to receive a proper burial and doesn't allow anyone to bury the other one or else the person who does will end up dead as well. Antigone decides to bury her brother Polyneices despite Creon's edict. She ends up getting arrested and sentanced to death. Ismene regrets not being willing to help and tries to share her sisters punishment but is denied. Tragically Antigone commits suicide and her fiance Haemon kills himslef in grief and Creon realizes to late the consequnces of of his cruel reign.

The sisters suffer because of the world around them. but it also shows hoe grief and love shape courage differently.
