I really liked the amount of detail you put in your memoir. You put so much in I felt like I was next to you in the raft. I also really liked your inner thoughts a lot. I liked how at first you were scared then you liked it a bit then when you did the “2,4,6,8 who do we hate this river *clap clap* this river. Something you can improve is not doing more show not tell. I think the memoir was good overall though.

What I loved about your memoir was your strong choices of language for example “it was like preparing for war on those boats”. My second star that I like about your story is your ending, I loved how your ending started with an inner thought. What I would improve is your realization, I was a little sad that I didn’t get to see a lot of that in your memoir. (And no cosmic brownies!)

Some good things about this piece is definitely the word “indubitably” at the end of CEES paragraph 2. The word choices are fantastic and choice. Such as in the first CEES paragraph, it says “-pull an all-nighter-…” which in my opinion is pretty good. Or maybe the last CEES paragraphs go to the heart. It was a very odd (in the good way) one to say the least. It really surprised me. I didn’t expect there to be death, but I still enjoyed it. But there is a couple grammar issues such as spaces not being made after a period, and no period at all. But that’s all I can really think of, besides those it’s basically perfect! Keep up the good work!

Hi, Xavier! A strength of your theme analysis paragraph, is the transitions you added it hooks the reader. In addition, I like how you truly explain what your theme is and what Piper has done. However, a suggestion that I can offer for improvement is to perhaps give an easier explanation of your evidence in your own words.

Hi Xavier, I think your evidence was good, because its lengthy and provides a bunch of details about your Pixar short For The Birds. I also like the way you use your transitions such as “secondly”, “In life” and etc. However a suggestion that I can offer is to make your explanation longer.
