I feel we need to begin with what is meant by Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. This will have a bearing on how AI is used in the unit. For example, 1) for units that are deemed Foundational > the AI focus can be on ethical use processes. 2) Where as if the unit is Intermediate to Advanced > then the AI use can be more on implication, students designing a prompt for output etc. Just a thought and putting it out there.

I guess these are the new AI "roles" (we probably need to stop using the word roles because the CDS guidebook says approaches), yes? It may be helpful to clearly differentiate "Locating societal impact and ethical contexts" (real-world impact on society kind of issues) from "Evaluating AI outputs" (more to do with not trusting the AI output blindly). And then for "Designing AI", perhaps have to point out that it doesn't necessarily mean students designing their own large language model or something because it could even be solid prompt engineering or chain prompting or designing a bot within the AI.
