The Lazy Hostel is a classic hostel with dorm rooms and shared spaces but it also has private rooms in the back - where it's quiet. Small room, queen bed, toilet, shower, sink. No frills. Nothing fancy. But clean and comfortable and prime location with great breakfast. (1) Ferry from Ceiba: hire a driver from SJU to Ceiba where you catch a ferry. The ferry is less than $10 including luggage. Book ferry tickets early and avoid riding on Saturday because it tends to be busy with locals and tourists can get bumped off (we had no problem getting on the ferry on the early Sat am route). 40 minutes ferry ride but you have to arrive early, get checked in, and then wait. Plan on 1.5 hr wait heading to Vieques and 1 hr wait on your return. The ride itself is very comfortable and its beautiful seeing

(2) Flight with ViequesAirLink out of San Juan Isla Grande SIG (SIG). Quick 15 minute flight in a puddle jumper saves you time over Ferry but you pay for it... about $100 round trip.

We stayed several hours, got a cocktail after brunch and walked around the grounds, took in the view and the horses. Incredible boutique resort. Very warm and welcoming. We went back one evening for dinner in the bar and we memorized by the chirping sounds in the jungle right outside where we sat in the open air bar.
