In some countries, English is spoken as a first language while in some others as a second language. I related it with the Tower of Babel because of the many English speaking communities that exist nowadays.

Some of them have the flags of their country. Others, have images that are related to the culture of their country. In the picture we can see how they speak and share a global language but at the same time they preserve aspects of their own cultures. Cultures that are as diverse as languages around the world.

The same happens with languages, there are different varieties of languages depending on the geographical places, class societies, generations, etc. There are variations according to the speaker's gender, age, and educational background, even in small communities.
I chose this picture because it shows how globalization and speaker's needs  has led to the development of new varieties of English, such as Hinglish, Chinglish, Singlish, etc.
