         <description><![CDATA[<div>Her works were included in the 1939 "Mexique" Exhibition, which was presented at the Renou et Colle Gallery in Paris, as well as in other group exhibitions that were presented in Mexico throughout her life. He participated in the International Surrealism Exhibition organized in 1940 at the Gallery of Modern Art in Mexico City. Institutions as important as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris host some of his works.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>In 1925, he suffered a tragic accident, the consequences of which he suffered until his death. During a long convalescence, he began to paint his face by copying it from a mirror mounted on the canopy of the bed. First, he was realistic and portrayed family and friends, he also liked to paint flowers. But later, because of the intensity of his feelings and a shattered body, he painted more and more his own image combined with dreamlike expressions, sometimes brutal.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Frida's life was marked from an early age by the physical suffering and illnesses she suffered. The first of these misfortunes consisted of a polio that she contracted in 1913, starting a series of successive diseases, various injuries, accidents and operations. This first illness forced her to stay in bed for nine months and left a permanent sequel: her right leg was much thinner than her left. Encouraged by her father and as part of her rehabilitation, Frida practiced various sports, some unusual in Mexican society of her time for a girl, such as soccer or boxing.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
