Eelis: 

Language and the words used were easy to understand. Pronounciation was good. And it was easy to follow the presentation as the slides were very good. Perhaps there could have been more eye contact to the audience. One thing I learned was that his artist Hokusai used several pseudonyms. 

 

Kivi:

-Any words did not seem difficult for her to pronunciate

-She was presence when speaking and it seemed like she really knew what she was talking about

-He didn’t seem very enthusiastic but he certainly knew what he was talking about 

-I learned that Hiroshige influenced a lot of Japanese and European art (as did Hokusai whomst I made a presentation of) 

-I rate the presentation excellent and the reasons are listed above 

The contents of the presentation were very interesting and I got new information about the artist’s life. Annika’s language was quite fluent and mostly easy to understand as her voice was clear. There were also minor flaws, as in every presentation, but Annika dealt with them easily and professionally. The slides, made with Sway, were also clear. It seemed to me that Annika was really interested in telling us about her artist, as she liked to analyse thoroughly the paintings that were seen on the screen. 

I would give the presentation the rating of excellent. It stayed fluent all the time and gave me new information about Rembrandt and his finest works. 

 MARJUT LEHMONEN: VINCENT VAN GOGH

The contents of Marjut’s presentation were sufficiently good and she didn’t need any aids in presenting the work, which is always a plus. Her language was an interesting and good-sounding mix of British and American accents and given the fact her voice was clear and soft; the presentation was easy to understand the whole time. At the beginning of the presentation, Marjut had a minor black-out, but after that she managed to get herself together in a fantastic way. I liked the way she used her hands during explaining, it gives me a feeling of self-confidence. The slides were also easy to understand and I liked the graphics of the presentation. 

The presentation didn’t give me any new facts about van Gogh, as I have read articles about him, but nevertheless, in my opinion the presentation was excellent. It showed us necessary things about van Gogh and I really liked Marjut’s self-confident style of presenting on the stage. 

Before she started her presentation, Hanna warned us about her possibly unclear English accent. At the end of the day, the accent wasn’t unclear at all and I understood almost every single word she said during the presentation. The contents of the slideshow were fine and Hanna presented it with proficiency and knowledge of Picasso. I also liked the explaining way Hanna used her hands during the presentation, it indicated some kind of enthusiasm and absorption into the work. Occasionally there were hard words to pronounce, but Hanna dealt with them mostly in a fine way. 

I would give the presentation a rating of excellent, as it was finely put into effect from start to finish. And the language was completely understandable, too. No need to worry! 😊 

 ALEKSI KERONEN

- Enough information, well selected

- Vocabulary was diverse but understandable

- Sometimes you could speak a bit more slowly, it would be easier to follow

- The slides were nice and you knew what you were talking about

Hanna McCarthy

 

-       Great pronunciation and use of vocabulary

-       The presentation was easy to follow, there were a lot of nice pictures

-       (You could maybe look a bit more towards the audience)

-       I learned that Picasso made a huge amount of artworks.

 

The presentation was excellent, because you spoke confidently and enthusiastically. 

·       Good amount of information especially of Paul Klee’s life. I would’ve liked to hear a little bit more of the meaning of his work.

·       Very understandable English, easy and nice to listen to. Voice was loud enough, could’ve been a little more louder though. Grammar was also fine.

·       Only two pictures were shown, so a short slide show would’ve been nice.

·       Overall the presentation was good: I understood everything and learned something new. A proper slide show and a bit more confident performance were the only things missing. 

 

·       There was more information about his life and I would’ve liked to see a picture or two of his paintings as well as some explaining about them.

·       Pronunciation was ok, I understood most of it. Remember to be confident. Otherwise it was nice to listen to the performance.

·       Presentation was ok: I would’ve wanted to hear a bit more information about his work but overall well done.

·       Again, learned something new about an artist I knew nothing about.

·       It was a good presentation. A lot of good information included and there was only a little confidence missing.

Aleksi was well spoken and had a good presentation. He had some difficult words that he used and pronounced very well. Aleksi had a lot of fascinating information on  the paintings but there could have been a little bit more on the artist.

He was very interested in what he was doing and extremely good at speaking in front of people. The presentation was excellent.

Marjut Lehmonen, Van Gogh

Marjut spoke good English in a loud and clear voice. The slides were very pretty and clear. She seemed very interested in the topic. I learned that the artist had spent a lot of time in a mental asylum. Marjut remembered difficult facts very well. The presentation overall was excellent.

Annika Aro, Rembrandt

Annika had a good amount information on the artist and the paintings. She spoke clearly and informatively. The slides were very interesting and nicely done. I thought it was extremely good that she new so much about the paintings in question. Overall the presentation was excellent.
