Essentially, the population of the world is what makes it up, so each individual is key to changing it.

Between the overrepresentation of Indigenous Australians in courts, lack of accommodation in the court room for ATSI and immigrants in terms of language barriers, to the high rates of recidivism, there is a lot to address in order to better improve the cjs and people's trust in it.

Furthermore, I think that people must voice their opinions and not be afraid to make a positive difference. By voicing our opinions we can make a difference in the world in which we live in. The term “outspoken” is a word with mostly negative connotations as it poses a danger or a risk to our society and a person who is outspoken is perceived as a threat. However, I believe that being outspoken is good and beneficial in many ways as long as it is done in a sensible and constructive manner. I also think that as people get older and develop a sense of familiarity with the society they feel discouraged and unmotivated to make any difference at all. A prominent example is of this is the Fridays for Future movement and the climate change strikes. Older people feel that the economy is of far greater importance than the health of the world we live in as they also feel that climate change is too big of a challenge to tackle and face. Therefore, a role that individuals have in changing the world is taking responsibility for their actions and being concerned and sensitive to the environment that they live in and all the problems that must be fixed.

I think change begins by reflection and awareness that something must change, it also takes strength, courage and action to create change. One example is Greta Thunberg who wanted to create change as she realised that not enough was being done by governments globally to tackle and eliminate climate change and global warming. Therefore, I believe it takes a strong individual who has an idea or belief who is willing to take action and voice their opinions to create and drive powerful change. I also think of the analogy of a seed when I think of change as seeds are small but as they grow they become big and powerful much like many movements around the world.

Furthermore, I would call for immediate global action to stop further destruction and to preserve and protect the remaining forests which serve as a livelihood for millions of animals and species.

Overall I would get behind anything that i supported and am passionate about, as there are so many areas that need work done in. For example, the LGBTQ movement allowed allies to march and promote others to participate in the protest. Although society believes protest may be ineffective it does display to the Government the policies the population want and creates public demands from Parliament, they also bring individuals together to express their common ground.
