Welcome to the wonderful world of Retirement, where every day is a holiday; where there are no work related worries; where there is no tension, but you get a pension; and where you can kiss your work days goodbye.

 

As a retiree, you are now the boss of your time and activities! You can do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it. You can now: 

 

1. Go to bed and wake up whenever you want; there is no pressing office assignment or deadline waiting for you;

2. Wear whatever you want – no more uniforms to wash and iron;

3. Be free from the rush hour commute, traffic and Covidinfection from Dasmarinas to NWPC in the morning and back in the afternoon;

4. No more Bundy clock, no more bosses looking over your shoulder, no more deadlines, no more monthly reports to prepare;  (HOORAY)

5. Open and search whatever you want in the Internet at any time; 

6. Be spontaneous in what you desire to do – go to the mall or market; have a hair cut; visit the NWPC and have fun with your former mates for their non-stop and never ending work; or just lie in bed and watch your favourite tv programs; and

7. Have more time for your family, neighbors and friends.

 

As the boss, may I recommend that you find time for:

 

1. Exercise and physical activity. Short walks and absorbing the early morning sunshine is a good activity to start with. Gradually add more time and distance as you progress.

2. Reading and learning – there is an explosion of news, information, knowledge and ideas in the Internet that are available to you. Use them but be careful of fake newsfrom paid trolls.

3. Creative purposes – find a hobby you want, learn cooking, baking, sewing, painting or whatever you like. Also do some brain exercises.

 

In closing, I leave you with two important messages:  GET VACCINATED and VOTE PINK!

masaya ako para sayo dahil deserve mo ang retirement na ito for all your hardword, dedicated service at higit sa lahat sa pagiging mabuting tao, sa pagiging ikaw.... malungkot para sa akin 😫🥺😭😢 pero alam ko naman na pag binulabog kita dahil kailangan ko ng kausap e sasagutin mo ako kahit video call dahil may magandang phone ka mula sa nuknukan ng gagandang sangkatauhan 🙃🤣😂
