  • What was the consequence of having a single story about the family? Just having one story doesn't tell the whole perspective of everyone.
  • What could have happened differently if Adichie had not stood by the single story of Fide’s family? maybe take other perspectives of what their life there was actually all about.
  • According to Adichie, in America, what is a synonym for Mexicans? How can you relate Mexico’s identity to this single story about Mexicans?  Mexicans are just being represented as gardeners or just hand work in America, but if you actually investigate, Chicago is the 1st city with more Potosinos other than san luis, and texas is mostly mexicans, and its everyone working, not just people who had to migrate, but actually wanted to.
  • Why was she surprised while walking in Guadalajara? What is the danger of a single story about Mexicans? because everything can be misinterpreted, mexico it's not just all bad, or just good, or even just Guadalajara, Mexico is too big.
  • Give an example of a “single story” you have believed in? The airports around 2002-2010 did not let go or stop flights for Arabic people, just because in 2001 Osama Bin Laden bombed the twin towers.
  • Did you have that single story to a cultural expression of that culture? (for example: song, TV series, movie, sculpture, picture, art project, documentary, etc.) Yes, Primos from disney(2023)
  • Have you ever been related to a “single story” (as a boy/girl, student, teenager, Mexican, etc.)? If so, which aspect of your identity can you relate to this perspective? Yes, everyday people treat me different, just because the school i'm in doesn't have a proper system and they call what they do but they are totally wrong.
  • What could be some downsides of believing in single stories? Why so? All of it, you can't judge a person based on one story, or even in religion or watewer 
  • What does Adichie mean by “a balance of stories” and how can this be helpful? How can we find this “balance of stories”?  A balance of stories, maybe it means having enough stories on the same topic to have a variety of perspectives.

  • What is the impact of Fast Fashion at a global level? When you answer, consider how it impacts the economy, society and the environment. Fash Fashion even before it's going to be distributed, the biggest problem is child labor, they work on very poor conditions, a poor pay and are not protected by law. Then it will be the amount of waste of water to make those clothes, then they say they are recycled, when its just the paper that says so.
  • What is the impact of Fast Fashion at a local level (in your city, community) ? When you answer, consider how it impacts the economy, society and the environment. The Mexican economy is not going to grow very much since there are other countries that own these companies, so by not buying from Mexico it's affecting it.
  • How can you relate to your culture (personal? local?) to Fast Fashion? Consider society’s involvement in this issue. Society wants something cheap and good, but those clothes don't last more than 2 years, it is just a waste.
  • Did learning about fast fashion change your perspective on the concept? In which ways? I already knew about these aspects of the fast fashion model.
  • What may be your role around this issue? Maybe someone who knows its wrong but doesn't call it, anyways what can i do? i think it's just how it is, like every other problem we just turn around and ignore it

  • What is the global issue you are working on and define what this global issue is. “Billionaires should not exist”
  • Why did you choose this global issue? Justify your answer explaining why this is relevant to you and how this issue has impacted your life and/or your community. I think millions of people are affected by billionaires, because the amount of money they “make” is actually taken from people that are just trying to make a simple living wage. These individuals make their own rules, and will do immoral things just to get more stupidly rich.
  • What is your personal perspective on the issue? Billionaires who avoid the law, which I believe its all, should be on trial, and if they are actually found guilty of: tax evasion, child labor, fraud, insurance fraud, multiple norms of global warming broken, even murder. Should go to jail and not be able to pay their way out since now its so easy for rich people to avoid it.
  • Why do you have this perspective? Which elements of your identity have shaped your perspective? Where does it come from? Just seeing how hard it is for someone to just live and people who in 1 day make more than thousands of people in their lives. It’s a mind-bogglingly large sum of money, so let’s try to make it meaningful in day-to-day terms. If someone gave you $1,000 every single day and you didn’t spend a cent, it would take you three years to save up a million dollars. If you wanted to save a billion, you’d be waiting around 2,740 years. 
  • Which beliefs, stories, judgements, etc., have affected your perspective on this issue?  It's just basic research and knowledge, no saint person could do that amount of money in the amount of years these people make it, its nepotism, tax evasion and an abuse to peoples rights, so yes billionaires should not exist.
