         <description><![CDATA[<div>SLG (Student Learning Goal)<br>Our SLG is in writing and we have a common assessment that is taken in the spring, fall, and winter.  It helps to track growth individually as well as the whole class percentage that goes into our own learning goals for the class and third grade.  There is a standard rubric and the assessment prompt changes, but the rubric remains the same throughout the year.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Daily lessons<br>Looking at daily work and daily lessons.  Being able to assess student ability on a daily basis, allows us to see how students are progressing.  We can often see and figure out if students are ready for their summative assessments through their formative progress.  Asking and allowing students to work in groups and share their responses allows us to see their thinking and understand what they are grasping and or need more support on.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>MAPS <br>MAPS testing is a norm-referenced test that measures student performance on a RIT score and a Percentile as far as a national norm.  It compares students across districts and the country.  Students that score below 40th percentile are considered At-RIsk and usually will then be progress monitored in small groups throughout the semester for student growth and development.  This test (assessment) is given three times a year.  It will often be and can be generated into other programs such as Khan Academy for math instruction based off of student results.</div>]]></description>
