         <description><![CDATA[<div>The concept of grace supports me in building strong relationships with others, as a new member to GS grace has been shown to me and in turn I can show this grace as I welcome new people into our community.<br><br>Grace supports me in building optimism for the future, and in speaking the truth in love.<br><br><strong><em>What does this mean for me today, tomorrow and into the future?</em></strong><br><br>I endeavour to build genuine and trusted relationships with my learners to foster resilience, growth mindset and joy in learning and mistake making with the foundation of Grace underpinning all I do and speak.&nbsp;<br><br>As I journal I aim to reflect on how Grace is given to me freely, how can I reset with my students every day, even the tricky students, showing them a clean slate and no judgement. Enabling them to start anew. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;How does creation theology inform the why and how of Lutheran education?<br><br>Within the resources and reflecting in conversation with others and my personal beliefs, creation theology is the beginning of us, God's purpose for us and his plan for our lives.&nbsp;<br><br>This question guided my thoughts throughout the day of learning. I spent time in prayer and reflection on how all people I interact with were created by God for a purpose.<br><br>How does creation theology shape an aspect of your work with students?<br><br>That each child I interact with has been created by God for his vision and it is my role to support all learners in following this path. That no matter how these students come to me, this is and they are God's plan for them and for me. That even in challenging moments, these struggles are God's plan to shape me and my future. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What values about education are revealed through the quotes?</strong><em><br><br>That education is preparation for the workforce, and for future success. However if I look deeper at this for me it is about resilience and flexibility. That students leave education feeling they can reach&nbsp; goals, think flexibly and make growth, changing their thinking and learning from mistakes with confidence. Building connection with students and families to share this knowledge is key.<br><br>As educators we can not settle for preparing learners for the future that is, as this future is changing at a pace we can not fathom and it is our role to prepare for the unknown with courage. <br><br></em>What’s a Lutheran Education perspective on why we’re here?<br>What is Good Shepherd here for?<br><br><em>Lutheran Schools and Early Childhood services are communities that acknowledge God as Creator and join in the ongoing creation and care of the world and all people <br><br></em><strong><em>What does this mean for me today, tomorrow and moving forward?<br></em></strong>My role as a Lutheran Educator is to work in community with others to prepare students for an ever changing future. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>- How can we know about God?</strong><br><br>Through His word and promises <br>The evidence of God’s creation is clear if we take the time to be still and look.<br><br>The above Psalm is something that I continue to reflect and grow through in times of both joy and struggle knowing that God is along, ahead and beside me in times that I have known this and through times I have chosen to forget.<br><br><strong>What does Creation tell us about God</strong><br><br>My experience of Creation tells me that there is a deeper connection between people, nature, the world.<br><br>When I meet someone and feel a sense of knowing, when I look at a rock washed smooth in a river, when I share a time of joy or pain with another human when I see a sun rise over a new morning it is a sense of greater purpose, a deeper plan, a knowing and a chosen journey that has been planned for a time longer than me.<br><br><strong>The nature of God<br></strong>God has a plan <br>God knows that I am doing my best and shows me Grace as I show Grace to others<br><br>The struggle <br><br>Why does bad things happen to good people, some people work so hard doing their best every day but their mountain gets steeper and steeper. When will their descent come?<br><br><strong>Worldview <br><br></strong>Although people are Christian, their view of the Bible and the scriptures can be different and this is something to take into consideration as we work within Lutheran education. <br><br><strong>Connect <br></strong>God has been revealed to us through the Bible and through the giving of his son Jesus Christ.<br><br>Lutherans believe that God has a plan for us.<strong><br><br>Extend <br><br></strong>Extending my idea that God is around us and with us with a plan <br><strong><br>Challenge <br></strong><br>How do I teach Christian Studies and support our families when their view of the Bible or Christianity is different to the Lutheran view <br><br>- <strong>How does God’s word form and inform Lutheran education communities and my role?<br><br></strong>The importance of God’s word and listening to God’s message of hope and leading through devotion and worship is a key part of the Lutheran system <br><br>The Bible and worship is key in the Lutheran system<br><br>The Bible is the base for our focus <br><br>My role <br><br>Helping guide students through what we learn about God through the messages in the Bible <br><br>Sharing what this message means to me and how I have unpacked the message and will apply it to my daily life <br><br><strong>Challenge </strong><br><br>How is the way I interpret the Bible personally through my life experiences impact the students I teach<br><br>Do I understand enough about the history and culture of the Bible, how and where can I learn more?<br><br>How can I build students literacy understanding of the Bible as a range of text types, this is a great connection to link our Christian studies teaching and literacy&nbsp;<br><br>How do the perspectives and understandings of our families towards the Bible impact our students school to home connection&nbsp;<br><br><br><br></div><div><strong>- What are the most significant aspects of Lutheran theology for Lutheran education? </strong>(eportfolio reflection)<br><br>Grace, God gives Grace freely to us, no matter who we are and it is my role in Lutheran schools to show and extend this Grace to all staff and families no matter what the challenge</div>]]></description>
