Processor Capacity - Client Side

Processor capacity is an important aspect to consider when talking about client side operations, because if the client has a weak processor, the website may be too demanding and will cause their system to slow or possibly even crash.

Revisiting websites is less demanding on a system as it already has some data stored in the systems cache that it will not need to download again.

Opening multiple tabs can be highly demanding on a system, especially if the system is not capable of multi-threading and has not got multiple cores, once again with a possibility of crashing their system.

Streaming videos and music is also heavy on a systems resources, as it is using a lot of bandwidth to ensure that the media plays smoothly and is downloaded and loaded before the client tries to view it.

Online games and animations are possibly the worst types of program and media due to the heavy processing power needed to render graphics, as well as maintain a connection to the internet to download, load and then view them.

The fastest processor available at this time is the AMD FX-9590, which claims to run at 5 Gigahertz.

The most common processor is the Intel BX80684I78700K 8th Gen Core i7-8700K Processor

How will memory capacity affect web performance?

When you load a new Web page in your browser, that page is downloaded into your computer's memory. If that page contains content that requires significant memory, such as high resolution graphics, more memory and more time will be required to store that in the main memory of your computer. The time to transfer the data from the Internet to your memory is dependent on the speed of your microprocessor and how closely that speed matches the speed of your computer's memory.

What different types of memory are available?

Volatile
Non Volatile

Speeds
0.10 to 9.21 s

Same my dude

How does the browser affect the performance?
websites require a certain amount of internet speed to run certain aspects on the website. each browser has the ability to download and display these images, some faster than others. such things such as opening multiple tabs can affect how each web page loads.

examples
Mozilla Firefox
google chrome
internet explorer

what is the most common in the uk?
Google chrome is currently the most commonly used browser in the UK.

what is the most common in the US?
Again, the most common web browser in the US is Google chrome.

What is the most common globally?
google chrome is the most common browser world-wide however there are countries that uses other browsers.

What is a plug-in?
plug ins are software components that adds an specific feature to an existing program. they offer customization on that program.
