Tradition is to eat fish, beans (known as St.Nikolas beans), and a special curiosity is eating called sarma - made from cabbage and rice. The rice is twisted into sliced ​​small pieces of cabbage leaf. A large number of sarms are made, which are cooked for a long time, and are eaten on one bite, because they are very small. Of course, homemade bread is also made and red wine is being drunk.

Epiphany in Macedonia is known as Vodici (Водици). On this day the priest throws a wooden cross into the water, to symbolize the baptism of Christ.
