Healthcare Assistants work within a range of NHS hospital or community settings under the guidance of a variety of healthcare professionals. The role will vary depending upon the area of work. Health care assistant
A health care assistant will work in a hospital or in  any community setting. Their duties in these settings can range from, monitoring, observing and recording patients' conditions to ensure they are healthy. They will also communicate with their patient's relatives and carers to help provide them with the best qulity of care. A health care assistant will help to ensure the patient is comfortable and safeguarded, they will do this by 
promoting positive mental/physical/nutritional health with patients. Lastly a health care assistant will check and order supplies such as medication and equipment.
Support Worker
A support worker will work with vulnerable people such as  people who have mental health problems, elderly, learning difficulties, disabilities, addictions, young offenders and anyone who needs supports in different areas. Some of their duties may be dispensing and recording medicines for the people you support, they will also update support records on our computer system to ensure they have care plan that suits the people they are supporting

The role of a Healthcare Assistant is to work under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals such as nurses or midwives to help support patients daily routines like making beds, washing and dressing patients but also to help with duties such as taking and recording a patients temperature and pulse.

Healthcare assistant
A healthcare assistant will be involved in the care of a patient, while working under the direction of other healthcare professionals like working with midwives or nurses. They take care of the day to day needs of a patient by providing help with personal care, meals, mobility and basic medical checks. 
A health care assistant usually carries out lots of different tasks, for example...
-Providing meals 
-Helping their disabled patients to get around and live as independently as possible.
-Making sure they are comfy
-Checking vitals, temperature and blood pressure.
-Keeping and knowing the patients records.
