Government agencies have many specific reasons for being available to us. The main reason for them to be here is said in the book. It states “Consumer protection regulatory agencies fight to ensure that individuals are treated fairly, receive the necessary information to make informed decisions, are protected against product hazards, and have the ability to use legal resources if needed” (Government Agencies pg12.)

Someone could clearly decide to put a completely different product inside of a box and fraud me. This can not happen to me because there is a government program to help prevent this…

According to the book it says, “CFTC is to foster open, transparent, competitive, and financially sound markets, to avoid systemic risk, and to protect the market users and their funds, consumers , and the public from fraud, manipulation, and abusive practices related to derivatives and other products that are subject to the Commodity Exchange Act” (Government Agencies pg13.)
