At the time of completing this work I was very invested in the study of human anatomy for illustration, in particular I was reading Andrew Loomis's 'Drawing the Head and Hands', and 'Figuring Drawing for all its worth'. So the many skeletons and skulls were my way of showing my progression in drawing human figures.

As part of my anatomy studies I wanted to experiment with heavy dramatic lighting with a new medium, which in this case was gouache, I wanted to give the painting an ethereal feel using glowing light blue and white lights and crosses.

Fractured light shows a skeleton with torn flesh and thorns surrounding him reaching upward. In reference to the bible again, thorns often represented hardships and struggles, which we can see through the torn parts of the skeleton, he reaches upward hoping to connect with god

This necklace I created for my jewelry business which I recently began. I used glass pearls, labradorite beads, clear quartz beads, and tourmalinated quartz chips to make it. The crystals included are known for their metaphysical properties including attaintment of knowledge and enhancing psychic abilities, and balancing ones energy. Perfect for a psychic to wear.

I also used jump rings and a hook pin to attach the triple moon symbol to the front of a larger labradorite stone, to create a pleasing centrepiece, and as a common pagan symbol of protection.

The vampire's bite necklace uses red and black glass beads with a triple moon chained to an onyx stone as its centrepiece. The inspiration for this necklace is rather obvious, with the red glass beads mimicking the blood dripping after a vampire's bite, a romantic gothic style necklace.
