the respiratory system breathes in air/oxygen through your nose and breathes out carbon dioxide (your nose hairs processes the air and makes boogers) . Oxygen can also come through the mouth to do the same process. then it goes towards the throat but goes in the wind pipe. the from there it goes into your lungs and your diaphragm expands which also makes your chest expand. then you breathe out it goes out of your lungs back though the wind pipe and out your nose.
