She was born in Okinawa and moved here when she was ten years old. All of my siblings were raised around the Japanese culture and food that she remembered growing up with. All of those has influenced what was cooked in the house when it was his turn. Pierogi, bratwurst with sauerkraut, golabki, etc. Slovkia has had the most significance in my life though due to my last name. I get questioned often about at doctor's appointments, work, school, and hockey. Hockey players have a culture and language of their own that only we really understand. Travel hockey exposed me to how people from different states treat the sport. Wearing makeup, doing my hair, and caring about fashion trends are things I like and care about. Feeling feminine makes me comfortable. I don't fill all the stereotypes of being of woman. I love sports, weight training, and the outdoors. And that's the favorite part about myself is the constant surprise people get.
