Climate change refers to long-term changes in temperatures and weather patterns. These changes may be natural, but since the 19th century, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, mainly due to the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and gas, producing heat-trapping gases.

Although we have yet to slow the progress of climate change, at the current rate, it is established that we will end with an increase of 2.8ºC by the end of the century. A situation very far from the 1.5ºC degrees recommended by scientists and other actors that would help us avoid the worst climate impacts and maintain a habitable climate.

If we want to stop global warming we have to understand this great challenge and apply solutions through three categories of action: reduce emissions, adapt to climate impacts and finance adjustments.
