Dawn FM is a song by The Weeknd which presents themes similar to those of the poems produced by Rosario Castellanos.

Focusing on the darkness and night theme, the title of the song, "Dawn FM" simply relates to the themes present in Castellano's works. Similarly, the motifs of darkness are repeated throughout the song, and even the entire album which is centered around this song. This section of the Song also states that it is "time to walk into the light" which is significant to Castellano's works as she had an extreme obsession with lamps to the point where even her death was caused by a lamp. The song also speaks of "fate" which i an important theme within her poems as well. (Rivera).

"The dark kept killing us all and this deadly sleep"

These words summed up, in my opinion, the constant theme revolving around Castellanos' work where she constantly writes about the importance of her past and the gloominess of it and how all of that affected her life (Gomez).

Today I met someone named Rosario Castellanos at an auction where we both were bidding on the same lamp. Rosario seemed very interested in this lamp, so I just ended up letting her have it. Although it was kind of weird, it almost was like she was destined to have that lamp, there was some power over me that would not let me outbid her. Anyways, we exchanged contacts in hopes to be good friends. Maybe we have more in common than just liking that lamp. Goodbye!

I mentioned a while back in April a person I had met in an auction named Rosario. She contacted me after a while because she wanted to meet up with me. I said yes, of course, and we had coffee together at this cute cafe down the road. Turns out we live very close together, we are practically neighbors and we did not know! We have the same favorite color, same favorite animal, and we are both Leos as well. It was weird, she still has this obsession with lamps, so I guess it was not just that one. She mentioned wanting to get a massage with salt lamps and I agreed. We set up an appointment for August 7th so I am looking forward to it!

I went to get the massage at the place Rosario mentioned but she had never showed up. I ended up rescheduling us for another day but I had to pay an initial deposit. I ended up walking to Rosario's house as it was very close to mine to see if everything was alright, and as I walked in her living room I found her, dead, on the floor. I immediately looked for a cellphone and dialed 911. The medical examiners did an autopsy and found that she electrocuted herself. Although sad, it is ironic that she died from a lamp. "I believe she committed suicide, though she already felt dead for quite some time" said her friend Martha Cerda. It was great knowing her for the short time I did, she was a great person.

Dear Husband,

I dearly loved you, but fate drifts us apart. I am broken, hurt, and my soul is shattered but I understand that it is necessary to leave you. Not only for my sanity, but for your own liberation. Our divorce was not because of my lack of love for you, but it was because you failed to return that love back to me. My heart, suffering already too much from the darkness of the world, remains the same as it was yesterday, tattered and broken. Thank you for nothing.
