If you want to measure speed of reaction, it is always measured against time, there are different ways that you can measure against time

1. Change in temperature against time
If the reaction is exothermic or endothermic, you can use the method above.

2. Formation of precipitate against time.
If the reaction involves precipitates, you can measure how fast the precipitate is formed.

3. Change in color against time.
If the reacting chemicals are a different color to the reaction products, you can use the method above.

4. Change in PH against time.
If the reaction involves an acid being neutralized by an alkali, you can use the method above.

5. Change in volume or pressure against time.
If the reaction produces a gas as one of the reaction product, you can use the method above.

6. Change in mass against time.
If the reaction has gas escaping, then the change in mass could be measured against time

1. Temperature
Increasing temperature will increase rate of reaction.
Increasing the temperature of a reaction mixture increases the kinetic energy of the particles in the mixture.
The particles collide and each collision is more energetic increasing the frequency of the collisions between the frequency of collisions between particle.

2. Concentration
Increasing the concentration of a solution will increase the rate of reaction. This increases the frequency of which the particles collide and will therefore increase the rate of reaction.

3. Pressure (of a gas)
Increasing the pressure reduces the distance between particles and will allow particles to collide more frequently, therefore increasing the rate of reaction.

4. Surface area (of a solid)
Increasing the surface area will increase the amount of surfaces that the reagents can collide into with, therefore increasing the rate of reaction.

5.Catalyst
Addition of the catalyst decreases the activation energy required to start a reaction, which allows the reactions to happen faster, therefore increasing the rate of reaction
