         <title>Components in an Assembly</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are multiple components that are used in assemblies. They are called "parts" or "subassemblies" which are the inserted files into the final assembly also known as the final product.&nbsp;<br><br>A part is a single .ipt (or other) file that has one single object. We normally use .ipt files because the extension stands for "Inventor Part" file. This could be part of a whole, but we separate it so it is easily editable instead of having to edit the whole assembly.<br><br>Subassemblies are groups of parts that don't represent the final object, but are many parts grouped together to "function as a single unit" (Inventor, 2023).&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>An assembly, being a group of parts that can be modeled together, helps us place the different parts together by using constraints. This allows us to "glue" the materials together and have them stay in place to create the final product.&nbsp;<br><br>The object can then be 3D printed to be created in real-life depending on the purpose of the project. It can also simulate how all of the parts would work together to form a final product.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Assembly vs. Inventor Part</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Autodesk Inventor, there are 4 types of files. We have Part (.ipt), Assembly (.iam), Presentation (.ipn), and Drawing (.dwg / .idw). <br><br>Assembly and .ipt files may seem really similar, but they have some differences that make them different and have multiple purposes.&nbsp;For instance, assembly files are normally used to create the final product using many .ipt files.&nbsp;These files are used to define a specific place in space using the constraints. This "defines the position and behavior of these components" (Autodesk, 2021). Part files are used mostly to create the needed objects for the final product. They are made from multiple features like sketches and extrusions. <br><br>They also have a different extension meaning they are different types of files.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Autodesk Inventor in the Industry</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Autodesk Inventor is already being used in many industries and has been for a long time. It is now a "professional-grade 3D CAD solution for 3D mechanical design, engineers, and other manufacturing professionals" (Gaddy, 2022). In the industry it helps us plan for the creation of products with descriptive images. It is a representation of what can be made in real-life.&nbsp;<br><br>An assembly file can be used to verify if the final product will work, fit, function, and tolerate a certain environment simulated by the .iam file. The use of assemblies in the industry can range from the creation of parts all the way to the creation of sellable products for the company. For instance, in a car factory, they can design the different parts with subassemblies for the car and place them together in an assembly to form the car (or at least a representation of it). If they are using the parts for the actual car, they can make an assembly out of it to check that all of the parts fit.</div>]]></description>
