As a concept we were hoping to capture the Zebra Mussels up close underwater and then film the removal of them along side a interview we were going to shoot of Mr Jones discussing the impact the mussels have had on the environment and other underwater species that it is out competing for food and resources. The film would switch from underwater footage to the interview and have voice over parts to compliment the actions that were being done underwater. 
Some of the original questions we intended to ask Mr Jones were:
"What are the Zebra Mussels and why are they invasive?"
"What economical damage are they causing?" 
"What can we do about them to prevent their spread?" 
Since this is a short film, we wanted to keep the questions concise and easy to follow. We wanted to then back our questions with footage of the mussels so the audience could see what they look like and correlate the relevant information to the species more easily. March: Concept finalized - Creating a Storyboard, outlining the shots we would like to capture, and researching the mussels.

End of March: Pool training to qualify for underwater filming. 

Beginning of April: Vobster Quay - Diving and capturing footage for the film.
