Tuesday 27th: We had Hannah first thing and did Speed Dating activities to get to know others in the course better. We were told about what the Intro to Voice and Singing block would include and got introduced to teams for the first time. After our break we got our induction slides and logged into teams and our emails on laptops we brought with us. Then we went to lunch and once we came back did some drama exercises before going up to visit the library for the first time. When we came back down we got given scripts to start running lines in pairs.

Thursday 29th: We looked at different parts on teams for the different parts of the course and went into some studying methods. After a break we began working on our own padlets to track the progress we will have during the course

Next we did a ball game that would help us with learning each others names. We did multiple variations of the game, adding in balls and changing the direction of it. The second game we did was where we made two lines and had to pass a pen down from the top to the bottom using only our index fingers and if it dropped we had to go back to the start. Then we had to count to 20 as an ensemble with our eyes closed but if two people said the same number we went back to 0. After we got out the yoga mats, doing some stretches and then walking games. We walked in circles going from speeds of 1-10 (Slow to fast) before adding in jumps where we all had to land at the same time.

After that we got our scripts for Cal and Maz and began trying to get some pieces of it off script. Then later on Vicki took us to a place where we could set our piece for filming to get a good idea for it.

After we went off to do more Cal and Maz script work and began getting ourselves off script.

In the afternoon we worked with the HN1's doing a ceiliedh dance and then jumping together on beat to a count of 8 while adding in other things.

We got together with the HN1's and did a read through of the panto their going to be doing next year 'Treasure Island'. I really enjoyed listening in and had a good time as it's an enjoyable script

In the afternoon we did some rehearsals of a few scenes of Chaos in B8. This helped with getting use to the space we will be using for the actual performance with projection and blocking of scenes.

After getting some notes we were then told that we were going to be doing our assessment that day instead of Monday and we were performing to the HN1’s. I was slightly nervous as this was going to be our first time doing Chaos to an audience. As soon as we got started and I did my first scene i felt myself begin to grow more confident with myself and my performance. The show went really well and I was proud of my performance that I was able to give, having an audience was really great to grow my confidence as well.
