(Beginning)Marcus and Jolu are addressing the Xnetters about their plan to exchange their private keys, after Jolu told Marcus he was not going to fight anymore. Marcus gives the heart-wrenching story of what happened to him and his friends the day the bridge was blown up, and dedicates his life to fighting the DHS. It was relieving for Marcus to tell the others about his experience, and about how kids should not be punished for what the terrorists did.(Middle) Marcus meets, and hits it off, with a very important character named Ange, who exchanges her private key with Marcus. Marcus, after exchanging his private key, destroys the computer to get rid of the evidence, and then takes a walk with Ange. After they had all left the beach and gotten home, Ange begins to IM Marcus, and Marcus develops an attraction to her.(End) This is where the "Don't Trust Anyone Over 25" slogan, is really recognized by Marcus, who realizes it's in merchandise and stores all across the city. In Ms. Galvez's class, there is a discussion relating to the civil rights movement of the 1960's. There is a large debate which is in a lot of ways, Charles representing the DHS's point-of-view, and Marcus representing the protesters point-of-view, in the proxy form of debating the 1960's. Marcus brings up the important conviction that if the government is here to be for the people, and if that principle is being obstructed, then the people can change or eliminate it.

Marcus is very vengeful in this chapter, and experiences a turning point where he realizes it's about more than just him. He understands that his personal struggle to find Darryl is only part of the bigger plan to defeat the DHS.However, even though both Jolu and Van had left the side of fighting with Marcus, he realizes they still wanted him to succeed, and would be there if he ever truly needed them. Marcus will stop at nothing to undermine the DHS, restore truth and justice, and find his best friend.

Jolu, as he is commonly called, is a tech genius. He was a part of Marcus's Harajuku Fun Madness team, before the game disbanded. In this chapter he helps Marcus to organize the Xnetters, and really causes Marcus to believe that the DHS uses racial profiling when obtaining targets.

Some might be informants working for the DHS, or willing to co-operate in order for some reward.

Marcus was a hero in this chapter, because he provided these innocent teens with a way to privately communicate, as well as because he stood up for his rights. It takes a strong man to submit to live, even in the violation of his belief's, but an even stronger man to stand up for his belief's.
