Online Meeting with Greek Students

Our Students from 6th grade held an online meeting with the 6th grade Greek students from International School of Sapes. Students introduced themselves and asked the questions they had prepared before. They also took part a quiz about Climate Crisis by the Greek team.

World Water Day

Following some facts related to water consumption in the country and all over the world, water treatment plants and ways of saving water have been informed. 6th-grade students have been atteded and at the end of the meeting, questions have been answered.

We visited Zübeyde Hanım Library and two drama teachers made a drama session about protecting the earth to raise awareness. Afterwards, we wrote letters to the future about the earth we are leaving behind and what we are doing to protect it, adding our wishes.

Activities Based on the Book

In the first activity, students made voiceovers of the characters in the book trying to understand what they felt.

Secondly, they read out a poem one by one.

Next, they made up a story about a penguin family who had to go away from their home because of the climate change. They drew the scenes together using a digital application and finally made the voiceovers.

At the end of the year, the same students acted the story on the stage.
