         <description><![CDATA[<div>There was no protection of Palmyra even though there was knowledge that ISIS was marching there and intended on using it for propaganda etc.&nbsp;<br>- Destruction of culture and homeland<br>- ISIS regulated the looting of ancient artefacts from Palmyra and the surrounding ancient ruins.<br>- Thing that upset archaeologist community so much was the excecution of Palmyra archaeologist&nbsp; Khaled Asaad, who was beheaded by ISIL.<br>- Need to think about how Palmyra can tell both its modern and ancient stories?</div>]]></description>
