The way the journalsist maintains the focus of a potentially volitile subect in the article instead is talk about how emojis is practically another language evryone understands, it is helping language barriers and if they had a hijab then mulalim women and other religions that use headscarfs feel like they are represented. For an example one has a n account on i think whatsApp and she would like to put an emoji that pertains to her and she cante because they dont have any women with headscarfs on there. They talk abot how the emojis are getting better with adding different skin tones, hair color and women and men working jobs.

Rather than just mentioning how it could be used for only muslim women the new emoji could be used for other nationalities "In her proposal, Rayouf focused on the demand for a headscarf emoji among Muslim women and in Muslim-majority countries. However, she hopes that the emoji will be used for other reasons, too." This is from the sixteenth paragraph in which the journalist also quotes her saying how the emoji could be alternatively used.

Admittedly, although unjustly, Islam has become something of a controversial topic. This article could easily have been offensive or volatile, but was instead kept safe by the author steering pretty well clear of religious debate. The article focuses on the importance of emoji representation in today's media-based society, keeping the whole thing on a more innocuous plane. By mentioning the other reasons besides being Muslim why the general population might appreciate a headscarf emoji, the author maintains a global viewpoint.

Although the writer told why the teen felt the way she did, they kept the focus on getting the emoji itself.

The author mentions that in "Christianity and Judaism, (people) also wear headscarves." By the author mentioning this they have given the article a broader spectrum on the situation.

She pointed out that some women in other religions, including parts of Christianity and Judaism, also wear headscarves,". This is an example that shows clearly that this would be good for both non-Muslim and Muslim women.

Rather than focusing on what this teen believes in and practices, the author focuses on her plan to feel more apart of modern society. For example, the author breifly describes why head scarves are worn and what purpose they serve and then reiterates the teen's reasoning of why she wants to have an emoji that represents her.
