The Japanese were interned during World War II because first of all from 1942 to 1945, it was the policy of the U.S. government that people of Japanese descent would be interred in isolated camps. Another reason is that Many Americans were worried that citizens of the Japanese ancestry were spy's or  "saboteurs" for the Japanese government. This is more of a fear not evidence but i believe it still works as a claim. My final piece of evidence why the Japanese were sent to intern camps.That is because the attack on peal harbor. The Munson Report on Nov. 7, 1941, says, "Japan was sending over spies."
If Japan were sending over spies, it would be easier and safer to keep the Japanese Americans in camps. Also, in The Munson Report on Nov. 7, 1941, it says, "It will be hard for them to bomb if they can’t get near it." This means that they could keep people and soldiers/naval bases safe from bombs or any other danger. In The Crisis Article in September 1942, it says "Color seems to be the only possible reason why thousands of American citizens of Japanese ancestry are in concentration camps." I think this means that it was easier to target Japanese Americans because they had darker skin and looked different from Americans so they were easy to find. Also in The Crisis Article on September 1942 it says " ...been taken against Japanese and their American-born descendants on the West Coast. Germans and Italians are “white.” " As for German or Italian immigrants, it was easier to tell that they were white and that the Japanese were not. In the timeline, it says "12/7/1941 Japan bombed the U.S. Pearl Harbor military base in Hawaii." The Americans were scared of the Japanese because they thought that they might attack the U.S again and they did not want to get hurt. Also in the timeline, it says, "2/19/1942 President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, authorizing military authorities to exclude civilians from any area without trial or hearing. " The reason why Japanese Americans were sent to camps was because of the Executive Order. The Japanese Americans got no trial and did not have a choice to go or not. One being  the  Executive Order 9066 in 1942-1945. This Order gave Military full reasoning to take and in-prison anyone that they thought needed to be. But this resulted in just the Japanese Americans to end up in the concentration camps. This is because the Military officers thought that the Japanese ansestors where spy's and or "sabotagers" to the government. But really this is just more of a fear of the government than being actual evidence. But then on the other hand you also see that the military said "military urgency demanded that all citizens of Japanese ancestors be segregated from the West Coast temporarily". This shows that the Japanese were interned because of their physical appearance. This is  because they looked the same that many assumed that they were working with the Japanese. In 1898 on the timeline it says that the "US annexed Hawaii which had a large Japanese population." After this happened most of the Japanese population from Hawaii got sent to camps. In the Korematsu Supreme court ruling it said that " We are at war with the Japanese Empire, because the . . . military authorities feared an invasion of our West Coast." In this document it also says "the situation demanded that all citizens of Japanese ancestry be segregated from the West Coast"
This is because the americans  feared that the Japanese population on the West Coast would help them invade the west coast. In conclusion the Japanese Americans were interned during World War II because the Americans feared that they were working with the Japanese.

First In the timeline it states that on December 7, 1941, the Japanese bombed the U.S Pearl Harbor military base in Hawaii. After this event the Americans declared war on Japan. Whenever Americans saw people that looked Japanese, they captured them because they thought they were spy's. 
  Second the Americans told the Japanese Americans to get your thing and come down to this camp. In the video Ken Hirata interview he says “all you Japanese nationality people whether we’re born here or came from Japan to report to San Joaquin county fairground and bring what you can carry."  Lastly, on Personal Justice Denied: The Report of the Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians written on February 24, 1983 it states “But when, under conditions of modern warfare, our shores are threatened by hostile forces, the power to protect must be commensurate with the threatened danger. . . .” Basically they are saying that it was too great of a threat to not intern them.

This shows that America is more worried about japan that Germany and Italy. our third piece of evidence is Compulsory exclusion of large groups of citizens from their homes. This means They were taken from their homes in large groups. Our evidence shows how the Japanese Americans were interned during World War 2.

to a policy " This ignorance was a problem because this caused people to instantly go to the assumption that they were Japanese and at the time Japanese were seen as bad. being sufficient to land one there." So this shows how simple it was to land yourself a spot there and that anybody that relatively looked like they could be Japanese was interned. anger at Japan." This caused many Japanese Americans to be interned and not treated like human beings.
