~All of that was a dream and now she lives in England and is fifteen, she is in 9th grade. She said she was nearly killed because she wanted the right to go to school.

~She is a very good student and well known.

~Her new life is very different from what she is from but she can still go to school.

~ Moniba is her best friend.

~She lives in a city or a very busy place.

~The girls that go to school with her and were on the bus almost got shot because men were trying to shoot Malala

~Malala seemed to know that the men were going to shoot her

~She talks about what she remebers and what others tell her about what happend that day on the school bus.

~Her friend taps on the wall to tell her secrets.

~her dad calls her and sounds worried like she won´t be there or she won´t come

~The book stil talks about how women don´t have alot of rights and it crazy

~Before the earthquake malala gets to visit family in a small town were her parents grew up

~Malala seems to now that the men in white robs were going to shoot her when they ask ¨who is Malala¨

~Malala lives in the city witch is more busy and is very different then were she grew up

~she is an exalent student at school and prays to get good grades

~She has lots of opinions and knows what she likes

~She is Pastun, a tribe of people from Afghanistan and Pakistan

~She does not like violence

~ "for ever action there is a reaction"

~Safina was her friend before Moniba, her play-mate

~When she was a kid she lived far from the city and played in the fields with other kids and her brothers.

~As a Pashtun you always open a door for a visitor.

~ In her culture women get nothing, but men get so much freedom

~She does not want to cover her face like the other women

~ She likes being around the men and hearing what happens outside of her village

~Malala's dad lets her be heard and she is lucky because her dad treats her like a man which is a good thing

~Her dad died trying to save the school

~ The school was his dad's pride and joy, his dream, but there was never enough money

~She thinks Safina stole her toy phone so she stole some of Safina´s stuff

~Malala has 2 brothers and they love the game cricket

~ Malala also says that boys are gross dirty and have messy backpacks. She says this is a fact

~There house was always filled with people

~Malala is part of the Pashtun tribe so they did things differently

~Malala had a great interest is politics

~The girls when they reach a certan age were scarves around there face and head but malala

~Malalas father made a school and malala was able attend it

A buy said that the boys school was better and that the girls school wasn't on the straight path of islam

~Earthquakes happen alot but not like the one of october 5th 2005

~People were in shock after the earthquake for months

~some peole did not make it and some lost everything

~The goverment slowly makes its way out to help the people after the earthquake but not right away

~Some people believed that the earthquake was a warning from god.

~Again the book talks about women not having any rights at all

~ Malala learns about the Taliban and how they are not only in Afganistan

~Malala's family is very generous and shares everything that they have with others

~Malala notices that so many people don't have anything and that makes her sad

~There was an earthquake is Malala's village and so her country is now very vulnerable so someone can take over

~I think that what I said up top means that the Taliban is going to come into Malala's village and deny the rights of the women living in it.

Malala's family let others stay at their homes and they gave food to others

Malala's dad cried because of how bad it was for kids

Malala heard about the Taliban's for the first time and what they do

~Malala loved to wim 1st place when the end of the school year but when she was placed second she was a bad sport

~A radio station said that all women should stay home because god made the earthquake to warn them

~Malala always won and she did not like to lose

~A radio broadcast was telling people that god wanted women to stay home and not leave their houses because of the earthquake but it was a fake, but since the women had no education so they belived it

~The Taliban is coming closer to her village and they do not like girl's schools

~Malala's family ingnored it but it is getting so much worse and women are staying home now because they are scared

~Fazlullah keeps giving threats to women and people are dropping out of her dad's school

~Now the Taliban is killing people and her dad's teachers at the school are not going to teach girls anymore but he is going to speak up about it

~Malala got face to face with someone from the Taliban and they are telling her to cover her face like the other women

~ There was a threat to her dad on the school

~The only prime minister that was a woman in Pakistan came back to Pakistan after she was kept as a prisoner in the UK, then she died

~Malala realises that no one is safe and even though she is only ten she knows she has to do something

~The government came and got rid of the Taliban but they still know that the Taliban is still close

~Now there is a whole war and for a year and a half the government is fighting the Taliban

~Then the army won, but they know that the Taliban is going to come back

~Malala always prayed, and she prayed for everyone not just her and her family

~this guy on the radio was telling every one what they should do like how men should have long beard long and women should stay at home and not go to school

~this radio mullah is getting persenal he is calling out people for going agenst the wrong things he is saying

~now that malala is getting older she has to serve the men tea to hear on what there saying

~the radio man still talks about how girl school are very bad and are agenst the holy Quaren

~they radio mans broad cast is illigel so he should not get to talk about gils and women like this

~the radio man talks about how the vacense for medical aid are going to harm kids

~The radio guy starts going out an killing people for going agenst his beliefs

~They put dead bodys in green square but now people call it bloody squar

~on there way to alittle town the radio mans men come up to the car and tell malala and her sister that she has to wear a burqa and as he said that the gun was inches away from malalas face

~Later when they get home there is a letter to malalas dad saying he must shut down the school or else they will hurt the school children

~Her father stands up for the people and many people call malalas household and tell them how brave he was

~Malala thinks to her self that she has rights to go to school and that she shuld be able to

~the first female prime minister was coming back to campaign so that gave malala hope that this would stop soon

~But as she was getting in her car 2 month later (an this was one tv) They heard a gunshot noise and she sank in the car. Dead.

~Killing a women is agenst the law so when the women prime minister was killed the radio mans men broke yet again another rule

~Malala says to her self that she will fight for peace and womens rights

~A few days later helocopters came and was tossing out toffees to the school girls. The millitary had come to fight off the radio mans army

~The millitary made every one stay inside for there saifty

~That night the fight begins and malalas family huldles in close

~Night after night there was bombing and fighting with guns it was horrid

~The fighting lasted for a ear and a half

~finallty after many many many fights the millitary one for now

he threatened barbers who gave western cuts as well as the girl school's, he also used funds to bombs and train militants

~As school goes on the war still is happening and its scarry

~The radio mans men turned off all cable so now one could watch tv

~The radio man and his men keep bombing every thing and they get closer and closer to were malala lives

~ Each day something was blown up or some one died it was a terror show

~Malala asked if her father was scared and he said that at night fear is strong but in the day we find our strength

~Malala says that her fathers courage never wavers but i wounder if that will change soon when something happens to malala

~ soon a tv channel comes to the girls school and everyone even malala gives a speech about this whole terrist error

~Malala even makes speechs to the bathroom mirror

~soon girls are banned from school and if your chil dies its the parents fault (this is what the radio man says)

~

~The Taliban cut off all the TV programs because in those women were free to do what they wanted

~The Taliban bombed 200 schools in 2008, they keep bombing things coming closer and closer to Malala's house.

~Malala is speaking out against the Taliban and giving speeches to everyone that will listen

~Lots of girls are dropping out of Malala's school

~The Taliban is killing at least one person a day

~Malala is doing diary entreis about how scared she is

~She has to use a fake name

~The New York Times wants to know what Malala has to say

~Malala says that the radio mans men covers there face because they are criminals but she has nothing to hide so she does not

~Malala likes for people to see her but she does not like to see herself

~Camera men come to make a documentary about malala and she is hopeful but worried

~All girls schools were shut down

~After schools were shut down malala watch a dvd and she loved it, it was to halp her learn english and she loved that the girls did not have to wear veils

~she amiderd that the girl from the dvd could walk around all over new york freely while she was trapped inside

~Malalas brothers began to play taliban v,s millitary and malala disaprovedit

~soon the taliban lifts the bann alittle saying little girls can go to school but not older girls

~But malalas teacher said she would open the doors for them but it was secret

~Malala goes in to an interveiw and is ver bold about her answer to the new peace treaty

~Even though there is a peace treaty the taliban is still beating people

~People in the beginning would give lots of money to Fazllulah

~The Taliban would publicly hip people.

~Malala continues to write diary entries as Gul Makai

~Things keep getting worse and worse and now Malala can not go to school

~The schools are banned but the girls are still secretly going to the school to learn

~The Taliban is threatining her mom

~The Taliban beat a women not much older than Malala 34 times for going outside without a male family member and another man

~Her mother wants them to leave and shelter in Shangla

~Everything is getting worse and now people are singing Talibanian songs

~Two million people are fleeing not even knowing where they are going, just knowing they have to leave

~They are IDP's know

~They had to walk 15 miles on foot

~The journey took two days

~The army won the war for now but where did they go to retreat?

~ Malala is not used to life in the mountains where it isn't as easy

~For her birthday wish Malala just wants peace in her valley

~ She got to speak to the embassador about girls education on TV, but she is relising that there are other more important problems too

~When her family went back to their town after 3 months of living here and there it was like a war zone

~There house survived but the others on their block had been robbed and destroyed

~Her school is still standing but the Pakistan army had used it as a base, and now it is a mess

~ The government wrote her dad a letter telling him that it was the towns fault for the Taliban coming. When it wasn't

malala was going to ride with safina in her family car but there wasn't a lot of room

all of malala's clothes did not match wen she was packing

Atal wanted the chicks to come with him but his mom refused

malala but her bag in the guest room because it was the safest room

she did some prayers and left to go with her family

her family prayed for the house together and they left the house in gods hands

there was a bunch of traffic

the trip took two days

they had to also go out of there way because they were going the way her family was

they got to the turn off of shangla and the IDP wouldn't let them in they her grandma started begging and they were let in

~ They had to leave behind many things like chicks and malalas school books

~when they left they wer in a car but ended up walking the last 15 miles

~They finally made it to there familys house and were very fvery tired

~once when going to school in the hills they were late and the teachers slapped them with a stick

~soon malala gets to reunit with her dad and they have to go to a meeting with anti-war people to talk about the matter

~Malala is really short and she feels like people do not listen because of it

~The taliban sent another letter to her father and they are still killing people

~Malala is winning all sorta of awards, including the Nobel peace prize and they want to name a prize in her honor but her father does not want that

~The Taliban is threatening to kill Malala, and her dad wants her to stop making speeches even though he is fearless he wants her to be safe

~Her mom is starting to read and also to learn and she is so excited to

~Malala's school went on a field trip and now people are spreading rumors about them that are making girls seem bad

~Malala is 15 and now she is helping kids on the streets and child labor

~People are coming to Malala's house to ask her dad questions and she really does not feel safe anymore

~It seems like Malala got shot

~ She was in a bus and then these men asked where was Malala then just shot her

~Malala did not really remember being shot

everyone started to cry as they saw the rubble and wreckage

the shelves at stores were completely

and yet still malala felt like a warzone

she looked through the bombed school only to find goat heads from someones dinners

the taliban wrote words all over the walls of the school

her dad got a letter saying he wasn't a good muslim and that he would be found

~the only thing malala was worring about was when she turned 13 she stoped growing

~soon malalas school is choosen to be a part of a group thats going to help swat and girls rights

~soon schools were blown up again and people were still being killed, its almost like the taliban never ever left

~soon malala got an email saying she had one the nobel peace prize for kids rights

~Malala soon goes on to win many ararwds but she stll does not grow not even an inch

~When malala walks in to her class room her friends have a big cake for her and she is so serprised

~malala gets an email saying the taliban wants to kill her

~Malalas mother soon went to learn how to read and she loved school work now

~malala goes on a school trip and then lies started spreading that the girls did stuff wronge but they did not

~Malala gets to stay in school even after she turns 15 (whitch is usally when girls get married and boys leave school to help there family.)

~Malala thinks that the awards she got shouldn't have been given to her because she still sees people suffer

~Malalas father confesses that him and his friend had both been on the taliban list and now his friend was shot (but somehow servived)

~malalas father becomes very protected and malala starts having nightmares about men comeing to kill her

~Malala has dreams about being a prime minister or a politition leader

~soon malala gets on the van to go home and its all a normal day

~Malala got shot but doesn't remember anything that happend in that moment

~Her dad or mom is not with her and she is losing the movement of her body

~Her dad is safe and in Pakistan

~Malala's family can't afford all of this but it seems like the hospital doe not care

~She got to here her dad's voice but they both have to be strong for eachother

~The first day she had been given a green teddy bear that she liked but then it was gone and replaced with a white one

~Malala got to look at herself in the mirror and she looks really bad

~All she wants to do is floss

~It's a miracle that she is alive

~Malala thinks her father is hurt and that the docters didn't jfind him

~SHe had blood on her ear and she can barly move

~she doesn't remember much but there are little meories she sees

~Malala has many worries in the hospital

~she can't see well can't hear well and can;t move

~soon she gets to call her perants and she is told not to cry

~she talks with the docters by a pink note pad because she can not talk with a tube down her throat

~many things are going on and malala has many questions but now she nows her family is safe

she saw herself in the mirror she was even more confused

she had to write in her diary the entire time

she felt something in her stomach the doctors said it was her skull

she waited for her parents to come get her

the nurse wanted to take a picture with her

the nurse told her what happened to her

she then found out she was shot on the bus by the taliban

her parents were surprised when they saw her

she said she was blessed by god and god wanted her to be that way and she was proud of it

~Her doctor, Dr.Fiona is really nice to her

~She was in a coma for a week

~She is really hurt I cannot believe she is alive

~She has been in the hospital for 16 days and not cried but when her family came she cried

~She really missed her family

~Malala's family was so sad that she was shot and they are recovering together

~Malala's face is all ruined

~Her dad thinks that it was his fault and that he should have gotten shot

~Even after all Malala has been through she is not complaining she is just grateful to be alive

~when her eye sight got better and the tube in her throat was removed Malala put her hand to her stomach and felt something

~A peace of her skull was in her stomach but for a good reason

~Malala went on a privet plane to get to this hospital and if she didn't she would have died

~Some of the docters think Malala will cry when she hears what happend but malala does not she has milions of questions

~Soon her family is able to come and malala Is so happy that she accullay starts crying

~So many people prayed for her and supported her, helped her

~The other girls that got shot were recovering

~Her family had to make very hard decisions on who was going to stay with her

~Many people wanted to talk to Malala in the hospital during her recovery but the hospital wanted her to heal on her own

~The only person that was arrested was the bus driver!! Not the men who shot her

~The Taliban wanted to shot her to make her quiet and not speak out

~8 thousand people sent her cards, people she did not know, people who didn't know her name and were adresed to "girl shot in the head"

~Madonna, Beyonce, and Selena Gomez wished her a speedy recovery

~Malala after two months can finally go outside of the hospital

~Malala got to meet the president of Pakistan

~Malala is technically failing in school since she has not been there

~A part of Malala's skull had to be taken out and now she has it

~She lives in Birmingham and misses her home

~"One person tried to silence me. And millions spoke out. Those were miracles, too."

-Malala meets the former prime minister of the UK

-Malala was able to go to a garden

-Malala meets the leader of pakistan and says that he treated her like a VIP

-In 2013 Malala got released from the hospital and stated living with her family again in an apartment building

-only the bus driver got arrested and not the people who shot her

-beyonce, selena gomez, and madonna wished her to get well soon

~sje went to many different hospiatals and almost died but the british doctors saved her live

~she went on many helocopter rides

~Malalas father thinks it was his fuilt that Malala was shot but her mom says it was the taliban for shooting a child and the goverment for not proteting her

~Malala soon finds out that there are 8,000 parcels and letters to her from people all around the world

some of her new friends invited her to bowling and partys

~A man they met said that it is not safe in Birmingham at night

~Malala is not really fitting in at school

~Malala is not used to all this technoledgy and girls being able to wear things that cover their body, or don't

~Malala wishes that she is just a normal girl and not the girl that got "shot by the Taliban"

~Malala is sad that her friends back home do not have computers and all the fancy stuff that she is used to now

~Her family really misses Pakistan but it is not safe for them to be there so they invited their friends over

~Her dad is now cooking the food

~Her mom is learning english and not covering her face in public

~After all that has happened to her family she is just Malala

-This guy from where Malala used to live told them that it's not safe at night in birmingham, unlike where they used to live.

-Birmingham is more diverse compared to where Malala is from.

-Girls at Malala's school have short skirts that they roll up even more when they are at school

-Malala gets home sick when she face times her friends

-Malala's brothers wonder why she is so famous because they still see her as only a big sister that they fight with and play with and not a celebrity

-Malala finds out that people across the world have been praying for her to get better

-Malala's family has stuff that they now love in birmingham:

• Malala's mom has a dishwasher

• Kushal has an Xbox

• Atal has nutella

~she takes therpy to get her arms and legs working again

~Malala beggs her perants to leave her brothers in the apartment when they come to visit, they are driving her crazy

~Malala gets to go outside for the first time in 2 months and she is so amazed

~Malala got meet the pakistan presedent and got a few gifts like how the goverment will pay for the medical costs

~Malala was happy witht he news but the still was sad because she new they would not go home for a long time

~She was soon relesed but she had to stay in birmingham and she couldn't go back to the real swat yet

~Malala had to have 3 operations all at once it was overwellming

~In the operations the docter but a tiny mechine behind her ear and she could hear better

~They now settle down in berminham as a new life but it is quit no kids playing cricket now men talking about politics no women gossiping

~Malala does not feel like the other kids do she is told she can be free but she does not now how

~But Soon Malala starts to make friends she gets invited to go bowling or to come to b-day parties

~she feels like she is in a totaly new world

~Malala is terribly home sick ( I wonder if she will ever go back to pakistan)

~when ever malala talks about going home her father makes up exuses like "you medical treatment is not over yet" or "the schools are good here"

~Malala does not get mad often but she does get mad when people say it was here fathers fuilt when i got shot

~Malala often finds her perants crying alot more and treating here like she is the baby of the family and not the oldest child

~Malala's mother seems to be a person who oves to have company at there house, she is way more happier when people come to visit from pakistan

~She is just grateful to be alive

~Malala just wants to help people, she believes that is why god gave her a second chance

~Malala is in New York and is going to make a speech to the United Nations

~She is meeting all these famous people but she is just plain old Malala

~Malala is still humble and only wants what is best for others.

~The one thing Malala is afraid of is will she be the same old Malala in the future

~She is trying to support kids who are in domestic child labor

~Malala says "its our duty to help these kids."

~She says that god saved her because she is doing the right thing in the world

~for malalas 16th b-day she was invited to speak to the united nations

~Malala travels with her family to new york to go speak with the united nations and she says she loves the busy hustle of the city compared to the boring old birminham

~Malala wrote a book called malala fund

~Malala gets to meet many cool and amazing people like Barack obama or queen elizebeth and prince harry

~After meeting with all these inportant people malala still thinks off her selfe as a ordinary girl with an ordinary life

~Malala gives her speech but she doesn't adress it to one person she adresses it to every one, girls, boys and women al over the world

~Malala says that she asked god to make her taller and he did, she felt as tall as the sky taller then any body else

~Malala starts the Malala fund and helps all the people that need

~Malala is helping children in child labor and kids that can't go to school on her own birthday!

~She is the same stubborn girl who will not give up

~People's love and support keep her doing what she does

~Whenever she gets money she sends it to Swat, her old village and hometown

-For the Malala project she went to a school in Jordan, and helped the kids

-It's Malala's 16th birthday and she was invited to new york city by the United Nations

-In new york city she was also able to talk to the Obamas, where she told them that she didn't like his drone strikes in pakistan because they hurt harmless people

-Malala also had the chance to be on the jon stewart show, where he talked to her about the Malala fund and he made funny jokes

-Malala also met America Ferrara, who she loved because of ugly betty, which she watched during the attacks in pakistan before she left.

-Malala also met the Queen of England, Prince Harry and Henry Beckham

What I learned from my book was how hard Malala's life was but how she kept going. The book taught me to stay humble and Malala shows this when: Malala got super famous she didn't just stop helping people and have the publicity get to her. What she did was make the world aware of who needed help and what people could do for others. It was a very inspiring book and it made me think about how much I could do for others with my privilege.

How are you applying what you learned?

I am applying what I learned by helping more people that I see. I also am thinking about making speeches as an adult and making more people aware of the issues in the world.

I learned that school is a privilege and that Some to most girls didn't get to go to school and that we should appreciate school and what we learn

When I get to School I try harder to learn and to appreciate my teachers so I can get better grades and be better
