Les virelangues sont des phrases qui présentent des difficultés de prononciation en raison du mélange de sons et de la répétition de certains d'entre eux. C'est une méthode utilisée pour améliorer le rythme de l'élocution et la prononciation de certains sons.
Dans les pays anglophones, les enfants aiment défier leurs amis avec les virelangues qu'ils disent le plus rapidement possible.
