Why abolish reservations of native ?
Why destroy home of many persons who were already eject of her living place in the past ?
Why condemn native to live in hell whereas they live in peace ?

I think you want to abolish Native American reservations for expand city and grow business or capitalism . But have you got any conscience of the situation of these pepole if they will obligate to live in other place ? No ! You need to think about this because it’s more important than money .

If Indians are expelled , some of them will live in city , and they will suffer of racism or the lifestyle change . City is a dangerous place for them , they can be ram by cars or do anything who is prohibited because they don’t know laws of the country .

But it’s more important than this , white men had did already things ruthless with the deportation of Native in the XIX century . Take off what’s left would be the same than commit genocide towards them .

Please keep thaith in humanity !

I think the American reservations should not be abolished because when the Europeans come’s to colonize the territory of the Indian tribe they made live to the Indian tribes a horror, which nobody can imagine. These acts of barbarism are inscribed in the history of America and abolish these reservation where the Indians preserve their culture, their education and even their religion would be as if Stir the knife into the wound of these tribes. You know it when the Europeans came to colonize the territories they use so much of barbarism? NO! But it’s the reality I insist on it because they did not hesitate to kill people who was yet innocent, but the tribes being weak and being able to succumb to this colonization. The Government signed a treaty’s with the tribes so that it remains in their reservations. It’s completely inhuman abolished the reservation it will be an act of humanism. When you think that The Federal Government moved and forced Natives to live on reservations, and know they want to abolish them its very shame.

It’s horrible ! How can he do something like this our Indian friends ?
This subject affects me terribly and I’am absolutely against this idea because , as you know , since generations now , Idians Tribes have not stopped fighting against the white man who was in search of territories and gold. Unfortunately , there are even today Tribes which fight for freedom but also against the poverty. We have for example, the Rine Ridge reservation of South Dakota which beats the most sad record of poverty with disastrous living conditions . If we were to remove what they have love most , among other their land , what would become of them ? They would be distroyed ... More , many more American reject the Indians . So , if they come to settle in cities , racism will only increase !
The gouvernment doesn’t have the right to expel them , because it’s inhumain and pure injustice ! I hope that our association can help the Indians and that the government will reconsider his decision.

Hello,i created an association called "saved reservations".This association defends the safeguarding of native americans reservations .I made a message in order to change the decision of the government that is ro anolish that one ! I do not afree with that and you ?
First of all if the reservations disappear,the americans indians will be scattered in the world.what will result in the loss of their culture and the fear of a living environment they do not know so a rejection or racism from some civilization ! Another , they will have to find a new place so do a long journey with a bad conditions.What a shame !
Is not finished,the state givrs money to the natives american of the reservations he does not donate anymore and so they will become poor better,there is already 2,1 milion who live below the poverty line !
All the end if the reservations will disappear,the commercials echanges will stop.
However,i have a mixed feeling on the one hand,i share the sadness of americans indians because they lost their territories.But on the other hand,i share their hatred for the government.

I think that native american reservation should not be abolish because all this persons are humans and you can't destroy human's houses. They can't survive in urban life, they don't know how to speak english, they don't know how are the people outside and the most important for me is they don't have enough immune defense to survive all these diseases, they lives in the forest, isolate of all us usual diseases , their body's are not protecting well.
If you abolish reservation, you have to reinsert all these people in the society because if we take them out with no money or foods or houses they will all die and a this point, we will be able to speak about a GENOCIDE .
The government seems to think that these are objects that we can abuse without feelings and I hope this will change, we can't forget that there are mans and most important : womens and chlidren inside the reservation.

Thanks to God, we live in a free and open society, but some spaces, unfortunately, cause many difficulties in politics, administration and low.
Among this spaces, 310 Indians reserves in danger.
In 1851, we voted for Indians Appropriations, and today, the government heartless, without knowledge, would like to suppress Indians Appropriations.
I think otherwise !
We had a president, Ulysse Grant, elected in 1869. 18th president of United-States of America,a great career soldier, who fought for peace in order to stop the conflicts between Americans and Indians.
Today we want to eradicate all his Native American land ! NOT AT ALL!
their population is growing, poverty is slowly receding, traditions are reviving. If Native Americans are now full citizens, they are improving american development. They are the first occupants of the continent, and us, we must eradicate them ? Nonsense !

So why do you want to abolish native American reservations ? I don’t understand what that is going to bring you. Our ancestrors had already deprived them of their property during many years. Indians had to reconstruct their living environment in this reservation, so it’s not fair to ask them now once again to start over. Also, they are differents from us, they don’t have the same way of life like us (their culture and traditions for example); it’s in part for that i’m completely disagree with you and your decision. If you abolish reservations, they will have to leave in cities and they never do this, they will be completely disoriented. They don’t even know what is a car or a phone so imagine how this is going to turn ! Moreover, some people in cities shall not see their arrival like a good think, their differences will penalize them. In my opinion, it will be very hard for them to become integrated. For example, it will be hard to command of the language so they will not find job. So I really think that the preservation of the Native American reservations is the best solution.

I found your website by chance. I agree with your ideas, I share your opinion. I don't agree with White's ideas to abolish Native American reservations.
Indeed Native Americans were here before White people. It is White people who colonized America and exploited personnes who lived there before. So initially , territories belonged to Native Americans.
Moreover White people made promise to let then their territories. However Whites still want to hunt Native Americans. Why? Just for extracting gold. They covet the land of Native Americans for that. White people only think about money. Therefor they don't think about the population well-being. I am opposed to this. I think that is inhuman. It is sad because Native Americans are a peaceful nation. They just want to live here peacefully, they don't want war. Futhermore the persence of Native Americans nrings a cultural diversity. Indeed Whites and Native Americans have different traditions and histories; Those two populations could share that rather than fight each over. Firstly, we must save the reservations because for generations the Indians tribes live in these reservations. In United States, there are 310 reservations and 110 tribes, for example, Cherokees, Sioux, Apaches… They have their own way of life and prefer to stay beetwen them. Remove reservations, it’s an abomination ! Secondly, for a lot of Indians, these lands are sacred. Moreover, since always, a life of Indians is difficult because they suffered the violence during genocide, but in recent years, the Indians can live as everybody. In the time everyworld can do a mistake. Look the First World War or the Second there were lot of soldiers or civils who died but we can't return back in time and save all of people. You! In the past you killed lot of indians like cherokee (indian's tribe) and if you think this was a mistake you have to live with that. Why nobody couldn't visit the territories? Why the future generation of cherokee couldn't return on their territorie. Secondly look after the concentration camps of the Second World War, yes there were lot of bystanders who died but today in Poland we can visit it. So I think lot of people would visit the historic place in the world, and it's like a memory homework to the people's who died in the past, you have to let their place for the honor of the indians who are dead. Let their place for the world, everyworld will think of the indians history and everyworld will say "Why we did it in the past" and "why we killed their..?"

No ! The American government should not abolish the reserves of the Amerindians, because they were the first on the American territory.
But also, the European colonizers destroyed the Amerindian community by killing them and stealing their land. I think that suppressing Indian reserves would not be fair and not human.

I think we should not relocate Indians from American reserves.I find this move would be useless on the part of the Americans.

First of all because they are only a minority and it should be allowed to live in peace because they do not harm anyone. I am so happy to finally see that other people are interested in Indian life. We must really act, they need us ! The little they have left to them should be given to them, they are less numerous, they have been divided over the years and many have died because of wars, epidemics and starvation. Reserves are a place of refuge for them and memories for some as well.
Reserves have already been reduced so why reduce them even more ?
They have had very few rights and freedoms in the past so leave their reservations.
Why should Americans have the right to their own land but not the Indians ?
It is not because they are a minority that we must neglect them.
Put yourself in their place, would you have liked us to do something like this? I'm sure not !
Too many tribes have already lost their reserves so that the little remains to disappear. They should have the freedom to live together, to find themselves between Indians with the same story.

I just find this situation incredible!

American Native people are on their lands. For them otheramericans are foreingers.

This people has been colonized for the gold, this people has been killed by white people, they lost their lands and the gouvernement want to supress one of the last thing that they have.

I totally agree with everything you say . I do not agree and I do not understand why the american government wants to abolish native American reservations . The Indians are a people who live quietly in tribe, for example Cherokee, Apache, Spokane etc .... Hello, the governement American would like to abolish native. I post a message on this association because I'm shoked by their decision! I think it's a bad idea. It's inhuman. I do not see interests there.
I not agree with them because the indian tribes live in this american reservation like cherokees, Apaches, Iroquois... This reservation want to preserve their identity, their political culture and their linguistic culture. Then, they were the first habitants of America before european colonisation and they occupy the entire continent. And they defend the environment of their territories. Fortunately, an association is open to all, to be able to support then and prevent this misfortune from happening. Their reserves should not be destroyed for the simple reason that tribes live there like cherokee, Apache, Siroux and many others who seek to preserve their culture. They live on these reserves to be able to control their own politics. They are tribes that have always existed and that must not change because they have their place in the world and are part of the world culture. The american government wants to abolish the reservations. I'm against this reform because I don't think this is the good decision for the Indians. First of all because many tribes live in, and they can't live in a city like us because it is their lifestyle. And it belongs to American heritage. If we delete these reservations, most of Indians tribe will disapear and it is a part of the soul of America that will disapear as well. Secondly the indians were the first population in America. So we already took their lands by force that was unacceptable but it was another time and we can't blame whites people for it. But we can help the Indians tribe now that it is our time to act. I very disagree against this plan because the Native American suffered for several years. That is why it’s essential to reserve the little native population. We should rather redeem ourselves with these poor people who have probably lost great-grandparents !
