Title:

Summary:

“Jobs” is a biographical movie about the life of the founder and former CEO of the big company, Apple, Steve Jobs. It showcases his life from being a college student having a dream about creating something extraordinary to being one of the most revolutionary businessmen of our generation.

The movie starts with a middle-aged Steve Jobs introducing the new iPod at a conference. From there it leaps back to 1974 to a young Jobs and starts the journey of his life filled with success and failure.

If you are into a interesting real-life story slightly manipulated by the drama of the film industry, “Jobs” is a suiting movie for you. It has a good balance between narrating facts and telling a story, which makes it easier to understand but also makes the picture of Steve Jobs less accurate. It is motivational and inspires dreamers and new entrepreneurs to start their own company

We didn't know about Jobs journey with all the ups and downs, because we as consumers only buy the product he makes, we don't look behind the scenes, where all the work is in progress.
We liked the movie was that realistic, and that we saw all what Jobs stands for. It was funny too see how much the design of the computer means to Jobs, because compared to microsoft designs, the MacBook is a very beautiful computer.

Review
This movie is about Steve Jobs life story and his ups and downs throughout the years. The information we gain via the movie was presented in a way that still made the movie seem like an interesting movie and made the biograph of Steve Jobs run smoothly.

The actor Ashton Kutcher did an amazing job performing as Steve Jobs in the movie and the directors did a fantastic job showing us how Jobs develop as a person through his success in his company.

”Jobs” review

We adored the movie. Our thoughts about the title “Jobs”, is that, it represents a great depiction of Steve Jobs´ struggles. We find the title appealing, and we all enjoyed it. The film is about Steve Jobs and his accomplishments, during his lifelong project Apple. It also shows his technical firm, Next. We find it interesting to be showcased, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and the way he coped with it, and the forthcoming success of his companies. The film also showcases the betrayal, he was exposed for.

The thing we disliked is, that we lacked information about the IPhone and other Apple products, and the forthcoming production and product evolution after he get reassigned.

We would like to comment on the aspect of the characters. We believe that, especially, Ashton Kutcher delivered a convincing personification of Steve Jobs. He fell into character, quite easily and distributed Jobs´ fears, great through the movie. We think that, the other actors did well, but they couldn’t compare to Ashton.

Overall we liked the movie, it gives the audience a great insight in how to start a company, and we enjoyed it. Thank you.

The movie “Jobs” is about the two young friends: the hippie Steve Jobs and the computer engineer Steve Wozniak who make the first personal computer called Apple I in a garage. The idea of it is to inspire other technological interested people, but quickly, Jobs sees commercial possibilities. They get a lot of success with the Apple II because of their hard work, but Jobs is still hard to impress. His behavior is not the best and it gets consequences – for him, for his entourage and for Apple. Luckily, that changes in the end…

We thought the movie was very inspiring, the movie inspired us to think innovative. It was interesting to see the development of one of the world's leading companies, when it comes to electronics. We enjoyed the music, because it went well with the plot and it gave the right feelings and atmosphere.

The movie lacked humour. Of course there was a bit humour, but in our opinion there should have been more.

The main character is of course Steve Jobs. His very direct in his language, and he know what he wants. We find this very inspiring, and it gives him a character that really stands out. The role was played by Ashton Kutcher, and we thought he did really well. Certain audience members might love him, because of his leading skills. Maybe they can relate to him. In the same way, some people might hate him for being the kind of boss who is quite mean and demanding. For him there’s nothing called, enough. You can always get better.

All in all, we think it is a great film that has the ability to both entertain and inform. We will recommend it to everyone – especially if you would like to know more about the story behind the world-famous Apple or just would like to get amused for two hours. We give the movie four out of five stars.

We all had general positive expectations when we heard, that we were going to watch it. That was because we all knew how successful of a man Steve Jobs was, and to watch and hear the story, about how he creates a company like Apple, from nothing but a few circuit boards and screens, to one of the world’s leading tech manufactures.

The movie “Jobs” is about Steve Jobs, the guy who dropped out of college and lived of the money, that he could get of soda cans and the meals at a nearby Hare Krishna temple, and Steve Wozniak, the nerd and computer genius, who could make Jobs dreams come true.

The two guys created Apple together in Jobs’ dad's garage and watched it grow into a multi-billionaire company, that now had its own giant office block and 100 of employees.

Jobs from there, led Apple to be one of the most successful companies ever, up until his death in 2011.

The movie was very inspiring, well prepared and great configured. We really liked the way that a few guys, started up in a garage, and ended up achieving so much. Because they worked hard and never gave up. Even though Steve Jobs got fired, he never gave up, he just started another firm.

He wanted to make a product, that wasn’t like other product. He wanted it to be special, even though I will cost a fortune, and that’s one of the reasons we liked the movie.

The scene we particular liked was the scene, from West coast computer fair, after their presentation. Where a man gave steve his card, it was there they got a little spark of hope, that they could be something. And the other scene, where they meet mike for the first time, and they made a very good deal with him.

We can all agree that the movie wasn’t perfect by any mile, it definitely had it's fair share of flaws. While we feel the acting was decent, to some extent, it was still poorly by an arm stretch. Especially for a movie, who focus was mainly human interacting, more specifically acting. While again we feel it wasn’t poor, it felt overly dramatic to say the least. Especially with a few moments with Steve Jobs, were his big temper felt out of place, or straight up forced.

Even Steve jobs character felt over hyped and cliché. At the beginning of the movie, he was nearly made out to be a reincarnation of Jesus. That just comes to show, the bias around the movie. While we did spot a few times in the movie where apple had it flaws showed. However, nearly every mistake apple had, was blamed on the board. That leads to more glorification of Steve Jobs, as this mastermind that can save the world.

We feel like a more objective view, would have served the movie better. As it would feel more genuine, and real.

The last thing we felt conflicted about, was its phasing. The timeflow could be unpleasantly confusing. We were never quite sure, what time the movie had as an anchor. It just sprang from year to year, and made it feel confusing. It hardly took its time to explained what was going on.

Characterisation – talk about the characters, did you like them? Did the actors play them well? What was it about their portrayal that you liked or didn’t like? Other impressions of the characters, will certain audience members be able to relate to certain characters? How? Will certain audience members not like certain characters? Why not?

The lead person is of course Steve Jobs played by Ashton Kutcher. He does the job great because Jobs is a hard person to play. But the film make Jobs look like an idiot there is only thinks of himself. I don’t know is that he is so arrogant or they have make a little extra to the story.

We liked the movie, it was a decent popcorn-flick. It had its moments, and while it felt a slight of disappointment. and maybe even a drop of unoriginal. The bit of satisfaction we could squeeze out of it, was pleasant.
However, we could only really recommend this movie, if you are big apple fan. There are just too many movies out there, who outclass it in every aspect. So unless you have watched every top rated movie out there, maybe this movie isn’t for you.

We give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars.
