1. Katniss saw all the other tributes circled around a Cornucopia of weapons and things to help the tributes survive. When Katniss saw the bow she was temped to go and get it, she started complementing herself about how she can get it and how fast she is and how she was just going to grab it and go and also not to listen about Haymitch's advice to survive. She looks around and sees a lake then a forest with a bunch of trees around her. Then she looks over at Peeta and Peeta nods his head and Katniss gets distracted and the gong goes of and she is about two seconds late to go and run as fast as she can to go and get the bow that she wanted.                                                       
2. When another girl started the fire about a couple hundred yards from Katniss, Katniss gets upset about when she started the fire, because she can give Katniss's hiding spot/camp away and the other tributes will or can kill her. The shocking news was that the group of boys, and Katniss recognized someones voice then she found out who the voice was... It was Peeta. Then when the group kill the girl that had started the fire they never heard the cannon that represents when a tribute dies so they got in an argument about who should go back and finish the job. Then someone Broke up the argument by saying loudly, "FINE!!!! I'll do it so we can get a move on." 1. katniss see a bow and arrows on a mound of blanket rolls then she looks at peeta she thinks he is shaking his head no the gong ring katniss does not have the time to get it now now katniss bolts she comes across a bag and a boy come up to the bag at the same time they fight for a little he spat blood on katniss she sees why he had knife in his back she katniss  grab the bag and runs into the woods a girl is coming after her the girl throws a knife at katniss bag blocks it from stabing  her in back  she start to jog and walk as katniss gets far in the woods now it turns in to a hill going down she goes a little farther then she stops and open the bag to see what is inside bag there is crackers,dried beef , a half gallon jug for water and a sleeping bag.

2.there is a girl that start a fire about 70 feet away  katniss is so mad right now that she bites her lip a group of people comes and kills her a group of about 5 katniss think 2 boys and 3 girls katniss thinks she has been spoted by them they wait for the cannon to shoot but it doesn't so she hears them talking she now knows peeta is a part of that group

There are many weapons and tools nearest to the cornucopia and there are smaller things around it. It is a 40-yard run to the Cornucopia but there are the things scattered around it. Katniss sees a piece of plastic right in front of her platform. (Page 148) "Food, containers of water, weapons, medicine, garments, fire starters. Strewn around the Cornucopia are other supplies their value decreasing the farther they are from the horn."
2. Katniss is up in a tree and wakes up to the sound of twigs being broken. She is able to see a fire that whom ever the person is started. Katniss is upset about this because it would give away her position. The person who made the fire didn't know she was there, but the smoke and the light from the fire would give both of them away. 3. When the girl who started the fire got killed by the career tributes they waited for the cannon. They never heard it because Katniss was to close to the body for the Capital to collect the body. The career tributes started arguing about it and then Katniss herd Peeta saying (Page 160) "We're wasting time! I'll go finish her and let's move on!" When Katniss is pulled into the arena she is exited to see that there are trees.

Then after the career tributes have eliminated the small girl they start walking in Katniss's direction. Once they get close she hears them arguing about whether or not the girl was dead because they hadn't heard the cannon that symbolizes that there is a dead tribute. Then the thing that shocks Katniss is when they get close enough, she recognizes one of the tributes voices.
