It was his last large contribution to America, by creating a college, and therefore allowing more people to receive education. UVA is the only university in the US that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thomas Jefferson only wanted to have three things carved on his grave, and one of them was that he was the “Father of the University of Virginia”.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Monticello was a working plantation with around 130 slaves maintaining the fields, stables and house. Thomas Jefferson also had many gardens, which were closely monitored. Jefferson kept a book called the Garden Book that he used to write down whatever types of diseases or insects his plants attracted. The gardens of Monticello grew hundreds of types of fruits, vegetables and flowers.</div>]]></description>
