It means something scary that I am not good at. It means being unable to move forward because I don't know the laws of the formula or the basics of the equation. M is for mathematics, the reason why I couldn't go into science or medicine as a career.

Well let's see...
1. Have students design a model of an ancient city and use a ruler to measure the roads, canals, and manors. 
2. Have students write haiku poems about Asian mathematicians and scientists using the 5, 7, 5 syllable formula. 
3. Have students create a timeline from 40,000 BCE to the present day to mark and label important human turning points. Students can answer basic math questions about the timeline such as how long the paleolithic era lasted or how many years a civilization flourished.
